We stared at the little one who just called us their mothers.
I was about to say no when a twig snapped and birds flew away in fear.
Nightshade tried to bury herself deeper into my chest away front whatever made the noise. I looked around and a low growl escaped me.
I moved closer to Arcee and StrongArm as we readied our weapons, and stood on high alert.
"Who's there?" Arcee called out.
Silence...absolutely nothing...not even the sound of the normal forest creatures.
"Anyone there?!" This time it was StrongArm who called out.
I sniffed the air and I caught an unfamiliar scent. Another low growl escaped me "Show yourself!"
Suddenly I heard footsteps as if running away.
"It's probably best that we leave." The girls nodded and we took off on quiet feet.
Back with the mechs "Where are the girls?" Bee asked as they looked around. "I do-" Jazz began to say until he was almost ran over by the girls.
"Where have you three been?" Optimus asked as he ran over to Arcee, to make sure she's fine.
"Just a little detour." I said as we showed them the sparklings.
"Where did you find them?" Jazz asked.
"A small cave...half a mile from here. We have to take them to base...they'll die out of here if we don't."
The mechs looked at each other with the same look of unsure.
I was ready to argue if they said no but they surprised me "Alright."
"Ratchet we need a Bridge." Optimus said and only seconds later did the Bridge appear. As we headed into the Bridge, Nightshade turned and waved at someone, I turned and saw a grey like blur vanish just before the Bridge closed.
