Chapter Fourteen

Arcee pov
I noticed that Jazz seemed a little bit happier or more full of life which confused me.
"Jazz...? Are you alright?"
He nodded still hoarse from the shouted he did days before.
It confused everyone else as well.
Some nights I'd check on Nightshade and she would be talking to someone but when I looked over there's no one there.

"I'm going to check on Nightshade." I said as I walked towards her and she was talking to someone again.
So I stopped and listened.
"Mommy, when are you coming back?"
I didn't hear anything but she must have.
"Daddy misses you...we all do."
Silence.
"Can you sing that song again?!"
Suddenly I heard singing...it was the song that Star sang to everyone.
The base became quiet and peaceful as she sang her song.
When the song ended Nightshade yawned "I love you, Mommy, please come back soon."
"Nightshade, " I whispered, "time for bed."
As I picked her up and began to walk to Jazz's room I heard a whisper "Thank you Cee, for taking care of Nightshade."
