I don't know when it started. We got along like oil and water at first, but after a little bit, we started to get along. It wasn't perfect; she still thought she was better than everyone else, but she's improved a lot now. But just a few months ago, something changed. Her hair seemed silkier, her eyes seemed brighter, her skin seemed clearer, and overall, she just seemed prettier. I started getting flustered around her, stumbling over my words, rambling on and on when I really didn't need to; I had started crushing on her. We ended up spending more time together; luckily, we were partners, so it didn't seem too weird. We studied together, and wow, is she smart. We trained together, and her form is truly incredible; when she moves, it's like she's dancing.

Of course, I couldn't keep this crush a secret for myself forever. Yang quickly caught on that something was up, and then soon figured out what it was. Her teasing was insistent, but at least she didn't spill the beans. She did keep saying that I should confess, though.

—A few days prior—

"Heya Rubes! How's it going with Ice Queen?" Yang asked as she walked into the dorm. It was just me in here at the moment; Blake was out buying books, and Weiss was in the shower.

"Yang! She's right in there!" I whisper yelled, pointing at the bathroom.

"And you're out here? Tch, tch, tch little sister. You need to make this relationship move faster."

"Y-YANG!"

"Alright, alright. But seriously, hurry up and confess already."

"But... what if she rejects me..."

"Then you move on. It might take a while, but you'll find someone else eventually."

"But Yang, she's my partner. If she says no, then we still have to fight and train together."

"Hmmm, well, it's a good thing she likes you too then."

"W-WHAT!?"

"Come on Ruby, it's obvious. She lets you study and train with her, and she makes you a coffee every time you start to fall asleep while studying."

"But... doesn't she just do that cause we're friends?"

"Ruby, I've seen the way she looks at you. Just go for it."

"H-Huh? What do you mean?"

"Ruby, she looks at you in a way she doesn't look at anyone else. And she constantly glances at you during class. Are you really going to sit here and tell me that you haven't accidentally made eye contact with each other during a lecture?"

"Well... it doesn't happen often..."

"Ruby."

"OKAY! Fine! I'll tell her!"

"That's my little sister. Just make sure you make it special."

"Obviously."

—Present Day—

Weiss was having her morning shower, and Yang had taken Blake to the library, all so I could ask Weiss to spend the day with me. I sat on my bed, already dressed in my usual clothes, waiting for Weiss to finish up so I could invite her to walk around Vale with me. That wasn't all I was planning though. I am going to confess. I'm planning on taking her to a park so we can watch the sunset together; that's when I'll tell her.

A few minutes later, she stepped out of the bathroom wearing her normal white dress, with her gorgeous white hair tied into her classic off-center ponytail.
