Within Aurora's scrying chamber, sisterly minds joined in vigilance, perceiving flows of possibility winding toward confrontation. Their allies' efforts were bearing fruit, lives saved through counters to spreading plagues, dissent kindled by leaked truths.
Yet shadows stirred in fell coordination. The sisters witnessed robed acolytes infiltrating seats of power, binding leaders with unholy pacts that warped minds and bent nations to the Fallen's will. Armies mustered in the dark, twisted beings bred for slaughter answering the call with anticipation of carnage to come.
And in a nameless wasteland beyond borders, a primeval prison of living stone shuddered and bulged, cracks widening as blind, groping tendrils wormed forth from the abyss. The great Old One imprisoned there, only slumbering, was near breaking free once more. Its awakening would unleash forces beyond mortal reckoning across the land.
Yet even in darkness gleamed a fragile spark, one the Fallen had not accounted for. Through Hiroki's leaks, dissent was spreading as truths cast down false idols, masses awakening to tyranny's encroachment. In the south, armies were mustering in secret to counter the rising tide of aberrations, led by a warrior queen of legendary resolve.
There was a chance, if fanned to flame, such forces could stall the Old One's return just long enough for the final blow. Sakura turned to her sister. "Aurora, I must make contact directly, guide our allies' efforts into alignment against the dark. Will you maintain vigil here, and summon me at the first sign our presence is needed in the mortal realm?"
Aurora smiled, taking her hands. "Go with my blessing, sister. May your words fall on ready ears, and wisdom bloom where before was only fear and division. I will remain here, ready to call upon our full power should events demand celestial intervention."
With a loving embrace, Sakura dissolved into starlight, slipping unseen between worlds. She materialized in a hidden grove near Hiroki's compound, taking on a mortal guise as a hooded traveler. It was time to make her presence and purpose known, coordinating dissent into a united front against the Fallen's schemes. The game was reaching its climax, and her subtle guidance could yet mean the difference between hope and ruin.
