"Are you excited for today?" Carlos asks cuddling me from behind. "Kind of." I say bluntly. I'm nervous I won't lie. I haven't seen Lando since the breakup, and I don't know how he's going to react to me dating his teammate.

Carlos swings me around in his arms and cuddles me close. "it will all be ok" he says kissing my cheek. I nod and snuggle into him. Me and Lando broke up 3 months ago. We were together for 4 year and I've technically known him my whole life but it was horrendous. We just argued constantly. He couldn't handle his jealousy, and I couldn't handle his lies. So we ended things. Not happily but we did. He's been a figure in my life since I was 8, that kid at school that was an asshole basically. When we were 16 we started to become friends and good friends as well. Well I mean he was one of my best friends and then the feelings turned to love I guess. But anyway. I'm with Carlos now for 2 months and I really really like him.

However, we've been dating secretly and today's the first time we're letting people know. Including Lando. So it's gonna be interesting to say the least. We walk out of the McLaren motorhome hand in hand and past the engineers. My palms are already sweaty, "Hey liv it's gonna be ok" he says kissing my hand. "I know I'm just worried" I say shaking my head. We get to the front of the McLaren motorhome and the plan was to kiss to attract attention. But it seems we don't even need to do that.

I see familiar curly locks coming towards us. There he is. Lando. This couldn't get any worse. He doesn't look happy either. He folds his arms and looks between us, "Liv what are you doing here?" He asks looking back at Carlos. "I'm er-" I start. Carlos squeezes my hand gently, "She's my girlfriend" he says nervously. Lando stops and then laughs, dramatically at that. "Nah there's no fucking way, your girlfriend" he says creasing. I roll my eyes. He's so rude sometimes. I definitely don't miss that.

"Look Lando. I like her a lot, I know it's hard for you because we're teammates but you guys broke up" Carlos says holding my hand tight. I look up to him. He's everything. He's kind. He's polite. "Couldn't care less Carlos, do what you want" Lando says shrugging. "Cmon babe" Carlos says pulling me with him, Lando catches my arm as we pass him, "We need to talk" he says scanning my eyes. I nod and Carlos takes me away.
