America had just put his pen down when he heard a knock on the door.

"ah, must be Moscow. Dinner is ready already?" America thought to himself. He hated himself for a moment when he noticed that his thought had the poetic device of internal rhyming.

He stood up and opened the door to see Moscow, just as he expected.

"The dinner is ready to be served, Prince America. You shall follow me to the royal dining hall."

"Thank you Moscow. I didn't expect dinner to be served this quickly. That is a good thing though."

Moscow smiled. "As you can see, the palace have been preparing for your visit very eagerly."

America gave a smile of satisfaction "Yes, indeed. Now, you shall lead me."

"Da. This way, prince America."

The Russian Capital and the American Country strode down the long, well decorated hallways. Moonlight came in through an open window and flooded the hallway with its beautiful silver light. The metal wall hangings and decorations glittered at the very slight touch of the moonlight. Soon, the two people could see a door at the end of the hallway. Two soldiers were standing at both sides.

When they reached the door the gaurds opened the door for them whole bowing in respect.

Moscow, who reached the door first, also bowed down and pointed his right hand in such a way that indicated America to enter the hall. America entered the dining hall. He heard Moscow's footsteps and the door closing behind him. Unlike the hallways, which had normal lighting that was, enough to walk without stumbling on objects on your way, the dining hall was very well lit. America walked towards the empty seat which was assigned for him, which USSR pointed to when he entered the hall. The dinner was served without much of a delay.

America was adjusting to the new seat to make himself more comfortable. He glanced at the other side of the fact table that was loaded with all kinds of Russian and other delicacies. That is when he saw him. Russia. The very country he was eager to meet when he came there. The country who was the heir of the Russian throne. The prince of his rival kingdom. Russia. America couldn't help but stare at the young prince, adoring his facial features. Russia was beautiful, but he seemed a thousand times more beautiful in America's eyes. His white hair with hints of silver? Definitely he got blessed by the moon during birth (or formation). That golden eyes... America could stare at it for the rest of his life. Certainly gifted by the sun god. His flag was simple, a tricolour flag that consisted of white, blue and red. Oh, but it suited him so well. With that blue background, his golden eyes stood out even more. USSR had the same golden eyes, but America found it more mesmerizing in Russia.

America was staring for quite a bit before realisation hit him. He quickly averted his gaze to his plate. It was at such instances that he regretted having a flag that included white. White made blush even more revealing. America was sure that he was a blushing mess right now, but thankfully none of the two Russians made a comment on it. But, America noticed a small smirk on USSR's face.

'Maybe, everyone makes a similar reaction when they see the prince for the first time? Must be that, that explains a lot' America thought to himself.

The dinner was pretty quite, with only a little chit chat in between. And it was mostly about the food being good or not. And ofcourse America said the food was good. He didn't want to irritate the Russians but he wasn't lieing either. After dinner, he went back to his room.

Now, to be fair, America was a good looking prince as well. But Russia, he was another kind of good looking. He was gorgeous. Once you get lost in those eyes, there's no way back. (Un)fortunately, America was trapped. There is no turning back now. America wanted to talk to him, maybe he can tomorrow? He wrote his thoughts down in his diary and layed down on his bed to sleep.
