3RD POV

With everyone in a sullen silence, we packed in the regalia with Ignis driving, we make our way back to Insomnia. As we get to Hammerhead Prompto break the silence.

Prompto: I hope everyone's okay

Noct: lotta good hoping's gonna do

Ignis: we mustn't loose faith

Noct: Really? Can faith stop a fleet of imperial dreadnoughts?

Gladio: Give it a rest.

Noct: My old man had plenty of faith-

Glagio: Enough

Prompto: The empire lied. They betrayed us.

Ignis: Conjecture gets us nowhere. We're searching for truth.

Noct: All you'll find are lies,  like that ceasefire.

Silence once again takes over, your thoughts are elsewhere thinking about everything before the fall, of Nyx, meeting the guys, talking with Cor and His Majesty. A huge wave of guilt washes over you as you silently cry, Gladio notices but doesn't say anything only holding your hand as a reasurance that he's there.

As we drive down a long stretch of road we hear a load roaring only to see 2 massive imperial dreadnoughts flying towards Insomnia.

Gladio: Look at the size of those things.

Ignis: Imperial Dreadnoughts, They transport soldiers- namely, the magitek infantry.

Gladio: The robots?

Ignis: Mass-produced humanoid weapons of warfare, to be more precise.

Prompto: Doesn't look like they'll be signing that peace treaty

As we get closer to the gate that leads to Insomnia, we see a massive traffic jam as well as imperial troops accompanied by giant mechs (i don't know what they're called). Ignis make a sudden stop.

Ignis: they've set up an inspection point.

Gladio: If the road ahead's blocked, then we find away around.

With that Ignis take a left turn down a dirt road, it doesn't take long before the road abruptly stops, forcing us to get out.

Ignis: let's make a detour, there ought to be a decent vantage point up ahead.

Noct being impatiant is already out by the time everyone else gets out, you push down your guilt for the time being knowing that a fight is about to happen, we climb the stairs to what looks like a delapidated building, we hear movement and stop just before an open area.

Gladio: There they are, wanna take 'em out?

Noct: Oh yeah. Those scrapheaps are gonna wish they had a treaty to protect them.

And with that the fight begins, Noct immediatly warps to one killing them in one strong blow, letting out his anger, prompto comes in second shooting the one up higher. With everyone fighting yourself including, the battle doesn't last long.

You: Any injuries?

The boys: No/Nope/Nah/No

Noct: Let's move

We continue moving through the ruins but soon we come to more enemies and once again fight through.

Ignis: We should seek a vantage point- the hill.

Ignis says as we make our way toward the top of the hill, prompto gets out his phone only for a broardcast to go out across Eos.

Newscaster: As to ceasefire discussions between the two nations, all provisional terms have been suspendedin light of recent developments.
