It had been a few days since Kol and Melody had started officially dating. Melody had been contemplating the feeling of love, but she also felt too young to understand it. However, Kol had become such an important person in her life within a short time. And she realized it wasn't necessarily a feeling of love, it was about him as a person that she loved, his wit, his smile, how kindly he spoke to her, how he took care of her when they met up, and most of all she enjoyed the long conversations they would have over the phone. She genuinely hadn't felt this happiness in years, and he had become the better half of her and she loved every moment with him. In her thoughts, this new relationship, this feeling, Kol was an unexpected part of her life.
Melody was at home, sitting at her desk researching fashion trends for her next assignment. All the colors she could see were earthy tones, greens, creams, and browns. She very much enjoyed her course, fashion. Admittedly she was not too good at sewing, but she did have an interest in fashion styling and wanted to pursue it further. She felt her phone vibrate and she picked it up to see that Kol had messaged her.
'Come downstairs' It wrote.
"What!" She yelled in shock. She looked down at herself, in her pyjamas, and not the ones that would catch a guy's attention. More like Disney. She quickly changed into joggers and a t-shirt, and grabbed her coat. She fixed her hair down.
Good enough. She thought. She never thought of Kol judging her for her looks as far as she knew, but maybe this would put him to the test.
She took her house keys along with her phone and left the flat locking it, checking twice as she always does. Maybe three times. She ran downstairs to the parking lot for residents, and it was dark outside. As she walked to the car park entrance gates, she felt nervous. I look hideous she thought. She checked the time on her phone, 17:04. It's late, isn't he tired from work why would he put effort into seeing me? She thought. She crossed her arms in an attempt to keep her warm, the air was frosty and Melody was typically a cold person. Once she had reached the gates she opened the side door to see Kol.
There he was standing beside his motorbike. It was a beautiful bike, Melody being completely uneducated when it came to the models of the bike could only describe it as a 'red one'. Red, his favorite color. She thought. Although he had already shown her a picture of his bike it was her first time seeing it in person. She remembered how much he spoke of his bike, she had joked to him that if he could date his bike he would, to which he did agree. Melody partly understood his passion for riding a bike, to him it was his only time of freedom. She believed that for him, behind that throttle, he wouldn't experience any stress, anxiety, no problems.
"Hey!" She called for him. And he turned around, his face relaxed once he realised it was her and she ran up to him.
Kol lifted Melody into his arms, holding her from her thighs, as she held onto the back of his neck. She squeezed him.
"I know I know, you missed me. I'm just that awesome" He said.
"You're awesome" She smiled. "No hello?".
"Hi," He said simply.
"Hi chicken," She said.
"Oh really!" He smirked. "Just for that, I'll drop you right here" He let go off her for a quick moment and then grabbed her back again. And she squeaked.
"Oh don't be cheeky" She teased and gave him a small kiss. "I missed you"
"I missed you too," He said, giving her another kiss.
"Oh I look a mess" She admitted.
"Yes you do" He joked. And she gave a small pout, "No you don't chicken, you're beautiful"
