"Come to the Hunter Association Building. We have a mission for you." Cheadle just got off the phone with Gon. The world's life was in danger and while she wished she could send someone else, but no one else fit the extensive requirements. Gon had just recently started hunter work again, with sightings of his work popping up around York New, prompting Cheadle to reach out. Without the sightings happening, she knows it would be near impossible to reach out to him
"Hey Killua!" Gon walked into the hunter association building with a giant smile on his face.
"Hey. Long time no see." Killua said, giving his own small smile and a small wave. He had been more reluctant to come, only agreeing when he found out Gon would be coming along as well.
"Come with me." Cheadle said, leading the boys into a soundproof room, a large machine lay in the center with purple smoke between the two large poles. "What I'm about to tell you is top secret information that very few hunters know." Cheadle took a deep breath, scanning the two boys for any immediate objection. "Our adjoining world is at risk of destruction."
"An adjoining world?" Gon questioned, curiosity lighting in his eyes. His nen flared slightly showing his excitement.
"Yes." She responds; her voice calm despite the current time limit on the world. If the other world wasn't so adverse to accepting their help at least she could say with more confidence that the world isn't going to end, but now she could only tentatively hope that these two would be able to finish the job with the limited time they have.
"Sounds tough." Killua replies, uncaring as ever. He was annoyed that he went out of his way to find a safe place for Alluka for information like this. "Is this really what you dragged us out here for? This could've been a phone call."
Cheadle gives a small look towards Killua; she heard his attitude was bad, but the clear disrespect for authority was something she hadn't anticipated. Seeing the look had no reaction she simply sighed, answering Killua's indirect question. "If our adjoining world is destroyed, everyone on this planet is as good as dead. We aren't sure how, but this world allows us to have a sense of time through and impacts our gravity quite a lot. If it is to be destroyed, then our world will as well."
"That's no good." Gon voices the obvious, filling what would be silence.
"The world is endangered by a creature engineered by their government. They haven't given me much information on what the creature can do. They seem unsure of what it can do themselves, but it recently exploded the moon of the adjoining world, and the creature said that they are going to explode the adjoining world by next year." She paused, looking at the boys to see if they were following. "We obviously can't let this happen."
Killua seemed a lot more interested the more information she gave, evident by his eyes finally focusing on her instead of looking around the room, and Gon seemed absolutely ecstatic. He was bouncing on the balls on his feet, and his eyes, filled with curiosity, were glued onto Cheadle, wanting to hear everything. "So what do you need us to do?" Killua asked, tentatively unwrapping a sucker and popping it into his mouth.
"For whatever reason, after the government failed to kill this creature, they have left the killing into the hands of some kids, and have been absolutely adamant on not letting us interfere. They weren't even going to tell us about the impending destruction until we found out through..." Cheadle pauses, searching for the right words. "Accidental means. We want to send some of our people over to ensure their poor plan works, and the world doesn't end, and you two were the only ones that fit their lengthy list of requirements of who we can send over."
Killua removes the lollipop from his mouth as Cheadle finishes her explanation. "Oh, so the Hunter Association's giving orders now? That's new." Killua retorts in a playful manner, unfitting for the serious situation.
