Midoriya, with an extremely fond smile playing on his lips and shining eyes, told him with an emotional tint to his voice that he needed some time to think about it.

Shouto knew he was asking a lot, since after all, he wasn't going to deny that training with Endeavor did in fact help his muscular and quirk growth. However, he was offering him a way out. Shouto would make sure Endeavor could not even grumble a single word to Midoriya about giving himself up as his pupil like that.Shouto had a sudden memory of Yuki, and how closed up he was at that time. Hopeful and denying himself at the same time at the idea of having friends. Turns out, making a friend wasn't really a choice, if one had to call it that. Being friends with Midoriya after all they went through was as natural as breathing. He knew he somehow would have Endeavor's approval if he told him about their friendship: after all, it was his pupil.Endeavor, accepting his son having a friend and not calling it a great distraction. How strange would that feel? Midoriya walked alongside him, both being in a comfortable silence.

Todoroki suddenly remembered Bakugo  as he knew he was going to see him on the classroom. He remembered the way he spat at him. What did Bakugo know about the League of villains, to be so shocked at his escape? He felt his pocket vibrate. His phone never received any notifications that weren't Midoriya's or his father's. It had to be Dabi.

He couldn't check it right now, not when Midoriya was so close and he was in public. Maybe he could sneak it in the middle of the class. On the other hand, he was met with a surprise. A large table was filled with delicious food, including sushi rolls, tempura, and an array of desserts, and there was a huge cake heart shaped. Decorations hung on the ceiling.

"Welcome back!" Every single student in the class yelled, and there was some confetti thrown, and he saw Midoriya flinch at the sudden noise, only to deeply bow as soon as he recovered from the jumpscare.

"T-thank you so much for doing this!" Midoriya stammered, clearly nervous.

"Yeah, thanks." That was all Todoroki chose to say, instead choosing to stare back at Bakugo, who openly glared at him.

He was going to decipher what was going on with him.

His phone vibrated once again. This time, they had stopped the party and had gone back to normal classes in a cheerful classroom, his classmates more energetic and bright as he remembered. Normally, Todoroki would be worried about having to catch up with the missing lessons, but all he could think about right now was that the league of villains was messaging him. Todoroki snuck his phone, using Tokoyami as his cover as he ducked behind him. "We need to talk." It was from Dabi, and as it always seemed to be the case with him, he was straight to the point. He replied asking for the location, since he wasn't sure Dabi wanted to talk to him personally or wished for him to meet the rest of the league.

Todoroki wasn't thrilled. He knew this was the part where they asked for his cooperation with a new plan. But he also knew he had to play along, at least for now. As he waited for Dabi's response, he tried to appear calm and composed, despite the turmoil of emotions swirling inside him. He felt Aizawa's stare, and he slowly put his phone back in his pocket.
