Madelyn woke up the next morning in the best mood. She hadn't felt this excited for something in a while, which was strange because she was a very happy person almost all of the time.
She absolutely could not wait until 4:00 so she could see Brock play. Before she went to sleep last night, she told her friends about their plans, and they were just as excited too.
They planned to meet at 1:00 for lunch before they drove down the the field which was an hour away, so they'd head there before 3:00.
Right now, it was 10:00 and she was extremely giddy. She did her basic morning. routine, brushing her teeth and washing her face.
She still hadn't found anything to wear to the game, but she was just going to buy something before lunch.
She also packed a cute black dress to chnage into afterwards for her and Brock's dinner in a tote bag which she planned the leave in the car during the game.
Finally, she left home and went into town to find a cute outfit for today. She went to an outdoor plaza, which had many high end and cute stores to choose from.
Obviously, the right choice is the store that sells " athletic equipment and apparel', even though she usually would stay farthest away from it on any other day.
She walked inside, looking around for a moment to see if there were any signs on where to go. There wasn't, so she just wandered until she found sports teams apparel.
In the jerseys section, she found a couple of options, most of which weren't that cute. So, she stumbled upon to the women's section, finding a cute, red 49ers T shirt which was perfect.
She purchased the shirt, thanking the cashier and walking back to her car. She made it him just in time for lunch with Gracie and Ev. She changed quickly, putting her hair in a half up ponytail with a black bow, and went on her way to pick up the girls.
They were going to drive there seperate, but they decided it would be more efficient to carpool. All three of them lives within a 5 minute range anyway.
She picked them up, Gracie first, and then Evelyn and made their way to the resturant they chose, which was just a local diner, nothing too special.
Once they got sat, they could finally talk about their own things, they always saved the serious conversations for when they ate.
"so we need the details on this date, asap!" Madelyn said smiling at her bestfriend, evelyn. She blushed.
"it went extremely well. He was the sweetest guy ever. he took me to dinner, and then we played pool in this little arcade they had." She explains with her face a rosey shade.
"that's so adorable stop it" Gracie said in awe of her bestfriend. "do you think it could become more?" She asked.
Evelyn nodded. "absolutely, i hope so. he was perfect, like genuinely" She expressed, the smile never leaving her face.
"we're so happy for you babe, he sounds like a cutie, we'll have to formally meet him." Madelyn said playfully.
"and what about you and Mister quarterback huh?" Gracie adds, peaking Evelyns interest even more. Madelyn's face started heating up. "what about him?"
"oh what do you mean! Getting us all tickets simply because he wants you there? he definitely likes you, he needs to ask you out already!" Gracie said to her bestfriend, Evelyn agreeing.
"we're actually going to dinner after the game, and then going to one of our places to watch a movie" Madelyn said with a slightly shyer tone.
"What! That's amazing oh my god. our babies going on a date with the quarterback" Evelyn said wrapping her arm around Gracie's , both pretending to wipe fake tears of joy.
"you guys are ridiculous" The blonde said playfully, rolling her eyes. The three girls continued gossiping and eating for as long as they could until they had to go.
They left around 2:45, hitting the road by 3:00 so that they'd arrive just in time.
Once they got there, they parked and made their way all the way up to their box. The game hadn't started yet, so she was just waiting for him- for them to get on the field.
"look here they come!" Madelyn heard gracie from her side call out, pointing onto the field at the team running out. She smiled, watching as she spotted the number 13, running to the side line to talk with their coach.
The team set up, flipping the coin to see who gets the ball first, which was the 49ers. They started their plays, defending the ball and running up and down the field.
Everyone in the stands were cheering, screaming, and pointing as if the players could hear them all.
She wondered what was going through their minds as they played. She had never played such a head on sport like football, but she knew it had to be really stressful and difficult. It certainly was just watching.
they were currently tied, 16-16 with one quarter left. The three girls were chanting and screaming for them as they lined up for their next play, wondering what their next move would be.
They hiked the ball, Brock catching it and seeming like he was about to pass it off, but instead he ran through the middle, pushing through anyone in his way and making a touch down, bringing their score up to 22.
The crowd went wild on their side, the three girls jumping up and down and hugging, madelyn watching with a huge smile on her face as Brock danced in the touchdown box on the field.
Despite the fact that he was so far down, she could tell he was looking at her too. He stopped dancing for a moment, pointing up towards her box with a smile on his face as well.
"oh my god he's literally pointing at you." Gracie squealed, junking up and down with their arms interlocked.
She smiled as wide as possible, pointing back at him for a moment to a knowledge him before all of his teammates piled onto him, all hugging and jumping.
Her stomach was filled to the top with butterflies, which didn't leave for the rest of the game.
