As the sunlight gently filtered through the halfway open curtains, Brock stirred awake on the couch, feeling the warmth of another body beside him. Blinking his eyes open, he found himself wrapped in the cozy embrace of Madelyn, her head resting softly on his chest as it was when they fell asleep.

A soft smile appeared on his face as he remembered last night's events. He didn't remember ever falling asleep, despite the fact that he would ever admit it out loud, he had been enjoying the movie.

Careful not to disturb Madelyn, he shifted slightly, admiring her for a moment before gently pushing a stray piece of hair away from Madelyn's face and tucking it behind her ear. She stirred slightly at his touch, a faint smile gracing her lips as she slowly blinked her eyes open, adjusting to the light in the room.

"Good morning, I didn't mean to wake you." Brock whispered softly, quickly moving his hand back down to his side. Madelyn met his gaze with a sleepy but radiant smile "no, that's fine, i'm glad you did! Good morning" she replied, her voice laced with tiredness.

They stayed in their current position for a while, Madelyn reaching for her phone to check her notifications. Her eyes widened when she saw how many notifications she had. She had completely forgotten her song had been released at 12:00. Luckily, she had all of her posts scheduled to post on their own.

Brock was watching her phone as she scrolled. "Your song! I have to listen to it!" He said as he also remembered from seeing the comments about it on her screen. She smiled and looked up at him, her head still resting on his shoulder.

"When I leave!" She said with a playful look on her face, looking back down at her phone and scrolling on her instagram feed. Before Brock could reply, she gasped. He looked down quickly at her phone to see what was wrong. "I totally forgot about them being there last night." Madelyn slaps her forehead with annoyment as she looks at the paparazzi photo of her and Brock.

"That is so frustrating" Madelyn rolls her eyes. "I'm so sorry" she says feeling bad about everything being spewed into the internet. Brock furrowed his eyebrows at her words.

"You have no reason to be sorry at all. It isn't your fault, paparazzi always sucks" He said, he knew it wasn't her fault, he wasn't sure why she thought it would be.

"You're not like.. Mad or anything?" Madelyn asked, looking up at him again. He shook his head, a small smile creeping onto his lips. "I don't mind it at all. It's always going to be annoying having our lives for millions of people to see, but that's what we signed up for right" He reasons with her, making her relax.

"Yeah" She agrees with him, looking back at her phone and scrolling past the post. Madelyn Sighed with relief as she realized the major difference between Brock's reaction and her past relationships.

She had grown accustomed to walking on eggshells and tiptoeing around the fragile egos of her old ex-boyfriends, but with Brock, it was different, even just in the few days of getting to know him.

With Brock, she felt seen and valued in a way she had never experienced before, which was difficult to understand, but she liked it.

They laid there for a while, relaxed and comfortable within each other's arms, scrolling through social media until they decided to get up. "How about some breakfast? It's only 11" Brock suggests, slowly standing off of the couch and reaching his arms up to stretch.

Madelyn nodded with a smile. "I'd like that" She followed him into the kitchen. "What do you like?" He asked her, opening up the cabinets. She walked next to him, looking with him to see what he had. "Pancakes?" She suggests, he nods, grabbing the pancake mix and placing it down on the counter.

He walks over to the fridge, "Do you like eggs too?" He asked, grabbing them and placing them beside the pancake mix. "You're on egg duty, I'm honestly the worst egg maker." Madelyn says, partly joking. Brock laughs, agreeing and getting the things he needs to make the eggs, Madelyn doing the same for the pancakes, with the help of Brock telling her where things would be.

They moved with ease around the kitchen, effortlessly falling into a rhythm. As they worked side by side, their laughter filled the air, each cracking jokes and discussing the night they had last night.

After doing everything to prepare the eggs and pancakes, they both stood hip by hip at the stove, Madelyn making the pancakes, and Brock the eggs. Good thing his kitchen was big. Together, they had created a great breakfast of fluffy pancakes with syrup and butter, and scrambled eggs cooked to perfection.

"Good thing you did those eggs, mine definitely wouldn't have looked like this." She said as she brought the plates to the dining table making Brock laugh.

As they ate, their conversation drifted from one topic to the next, going through memories and their favorite moments. They shared stories from their past, hopes for the future, and everything in between that they hadn't gotten to the previous night.

After they finished eating, they cleaned up the table and washed the dishes, their laughter and playful banter filling the room as they worked side by side.

There was a sense of harmony to their movements, a silent acknowledgment of the unspoken comfort between each other, even in the smallest things.
