closing my eyes, remembering every single one, pricking and prodding. trying to find my happiness. but that is something that I have left behind

"I don't understand...why would he do this" Ahsoka gripped the small ceramic cup tighter as you took your seat at the other end of the small table that was provided in the room.

You looked down at your own cup too, staring back at your reflection as you also tried to wrap your mind around his actions. Why did he do this?

No, you didn't get to act confused, you knew the signs. You told yourself for many months that all this was unexpected, his turn to the dark side was unbeknownst, unexpected.

" I want to choose to believe that it wasn't his choice—that it wasn't my fault" you spoke softly as R2 chirped in the background

Ahsoka quickly broke her gaze from you to stare at the corner, you could feel the slight happiness in her aura as she noticed him
"You kept Artooie..." she glanced back at you.

You nodded while swallowing hard " yeah I did...he was my friend...his friend. I couldn't leave him" you paused as you looked at your little droid companion "he's all I have left—the last good remaining relic." R2 was priceless, all his memories and personality was irreplaceable.

"I see what you mean, it's hard to believe that my former master did so much good just to ruin it all in one instant." The younger Jedi spoke as she took a sip of the liquid.

" I want to tell you all I did that day Ahsoka, I wish I could turn back time undo everything—prevent this disaster" you held your head in your palm as images flashed in your mind on Mustafar.

The sounds lived rent free in your mind, tormenting you and replaying like a cruel movie. Making what ifs in your mind, hoping that the one you currently lived in was one of those what ifs.

"(Y/N)...there's nothing we can do now, we have to prevent what comes next. We can continue his ideals" Ahsoka tapped the table to get your attention, maybe she saw a little bit of Anakin in you. the regret, the passion, the anxiety. It scared her. She didn't want to lose you too.

"You aren't alone anymore (Y/N)." She gave a sad smile, this time she will make sure she wouldn't leave, she won't fail you the way she failed her master.

"General Skywalker." You spoke curtly as you gave a small smirk hiding your playful nature in front of the other clones

"Master (L/N)" Anakin returned that same playful nature as he stood proud in front of the hologram that showcased his next predictions for General Grievous attack.

This time it seemed like another attack on republic trade routes.

"I'm glad I made it just in time to hear your fantastic idea" more like your idea you had convoluted in the midst of your nightly talks.
Though Politics in the bedroom weren't your favorite thing, you felt like you had a bit more insight as of late.

Taking over some of Anakins missions while he trained his padawan served you some good, gave you experience and really helped step your foot into the war. The council was always hesitant in letting you lead some of the missions but as of late they have been giving you the liberty of taking the lead in some.
