The mysterious cat

Chaper 1

As she walked through the pretty flowers, taking in the fresh air of the outdoors. She brushed her hands against the flowers lightly, caressing them. She stopped and looked around the flower field, as the wind hit her gently. She let out a sigh, a relaxed sigh. Until she was interrupted by a familiar voice, calling her name loudly so she could hear. An annoyed groan escaped her mouth, rolling her eyes. She was really enjoying the moment in the flower field which she didn't want to end. She walked back the cottage, noticing it was her brother calling, her older brother. "Coraline, come inside before it gets dark, dad made us dinner" Her brother said, not harshly, but calmly. That was her name, Coraline. She sat on the table, looking at her family members beside her and in front of her. Her father passed her the plate of mashed potatoes, which she took and placed on front of her, in the table. She was quite starving, so she started to eat while her family members did so, as well. They chatted and ate together, soon everyone got up to rest. She stood up and walked to her room, her father and brother were always strict about going out at night. She was curious, what happens at night? She decided today might be the day she finds out. She knew her father would check on her, so she decided first, to act asleep. She quickly climbed the bed and covered herself with the blanket, so he doesn't question about her clothes, since she didn't change yet. She laid on the bed and waited for her father to come in. Her father knocked on the door and walked in, looking at his daughter with a sweet and soft smile on his lips. He walked towards her and told her good night, like usual. Then walked out, that was her sign to go. She quickly got up and walked to her window, taking a knife with her just in case of any danger.

She opened and climbed out of the window, landing on the ground. It kind of hurt when she landed on the ground, so she groaned quietly in pain then stood up. She looked around, it was dark outside so she couldn't really see. She started walking, carefully and slowly but not too slowly. She looked around but didn't see anything, what was her father talking about? She kept on walking around, enjoying the night breeze and the moonlight. She walked to the flower field looking at the flowers, being hit by the moon light, making them slightly glow. She caressed one of the flowers petals and leaned in to smell the flower.

She suddenly heard something moving in the distance, so she quickly stood up and looked around. She took out the knife she had, slowly as she scanned her surroundings. She saw one of the bushes moving and her eyes doted at that place, as she froze. Then a bush beside her moved and she jumped slightly, looking at it immediately. She felt something behind her, so she looked behind her and... it was a cat "oh..." she said letting out a sigh of relief, relaxing now and putting the knife back in her pocket. She looked back at the cat and saw a human?! The human being had a cat ears and a tail, which was interesting. she jumped and gasped, losing her balance, falling to the ground. The human being with cat ears and a tail, moved closer and stopped in front of her. It leaned down to look at her, and put it's hand out. She thought about it for a moment and took its hand. She studied the being in front of her which had black cat ears and tail, and its hair was black as well. It seems like it was a female cat since its hair was long and looked like a girl. She stood up and was still stunned by the being in front of her. Then, the being in front of her opened its mouth and spoke. "Hello" It said with a huge smile, its sharp cat teeth showing. She decided that maybe this wasn't so bad after all? She nodded and said "Hi" she said back with an awkward looking smile. "Name, Luna." it said pointing at itself. "Coraline." She said back and pointed at myself too. It nodded happily and now they both stood there in silence, it was kind of awkward for her, but Luna didn't seem to mind it. Luna took Coraline's hand and took her to somewhere. Luna took her to the flower field and stopped suddenly, pointing at a flower. She glanced at the flower and saw it glowing, she was amazed and crouched to caress the flower. She leaned in to smell it. She always loved flowers. Ever since, Coraline would always go out at night and see Luna.

One night, when she was about to get up from bed, she saw someone was about to come in her room. She quickly laid back down and covered herself with the blanket. It was her brother, what did he want? She looked at him and waited for him to say something. "Coraline, you've been acting off lately" Her brother said as he walked closer to her "Are you alright?" He added in a worried voice. Her brother always cared for her and noticed when something's up. She felt herself start to panic, what if he finds out she's been out at night? "What do you mean?" She said trying to sound calm and not panicky. "Are you getting enough sleep? You seem tired these days" Her brother asked worriedly "I get enough sleep, don't worry. Maybe it's just that I don't have much energy" she said patting her brother's head and smiling at him, she didn't want him to worry. Her brother stayed quiet for a moment, and just stared at her, then sighed and nodded "Yeah, maybe you're right, you don't eat much anymore so maybe that's it" He said then smiled at her, he ruffles her hair and chuckles "Good night sis" he said patting her head and walking out. A sigh of relief escaped her mouth, and she laid down on the bed, for a little.
