Chapter 5

She was stood now in front of her brother, awkwardly as she fidgeted with her fingers. She could feel her brother's hard stare, as he crossed his arms, his friends behind him, trying not to laugh. "I can explain- It's not what you think-!" She tried saying but her brother cut her off. Rowan stood there awkwardly and silently. "What is there to explain? It's obvious you two were doing something. Who even is this guy?!" Her brother asked, trying to stay calm. "We're just friends, she's my sister's friend-" Rowan tried saying, to convince her brother that they were not doing whatever he thought they were doing. Her brother only frowned and looked at the unfamiliar guy, Rowan up and down. "-Yes, it's true, his sister is in my school-" Coraline tried explaining, only for her brother to raise his eyebrows. "You have friends?" She stood there, seeming a bit offended by her brother's comment as frowned and crossed her arms. She had a look that said to him 'Are you serious right now?' Her brother was too busy glaring at this guy beside his sister,  Coraline as she stood there a bit offended and a bit. Her brother took his sister's arm and walked away with her, took her to the corner as he wanted to talk with his dear sister, leaving his friend with the Rowan. He held both her shoulders and shook her aggressively. "Be honest, Coraline, I won't believe your stupid lies. Who is he?! Are you two trying to hook up or something?!" She was surprised and disgusted. "Why the fuck would you think that?! I told you I'm friend's with his sister and she brought him here!" She tried convincing him so he wouldn't think they were about to do something they were not supposed to do and plus she already hates him with her full gut. "I don't see a sister in your room... I know you're lying" Her brother said as he crossed his arms and glared down at her with disappointment. That look of disappointment made her heart ache as she hated to that her brother was disappointed from his dearest sister. She actually did love her brother since he was here for her whenever he could be. "I promise- I'm telling the truth-! Me and him never did anything like that or ever will!" She stuttered as she tried to keep calm and not burst into tears, looking up at her brother.

Meanwhile, Rowan just stood there not knowing what to, kind of felt bad- WHAT-? Him feeling bad?! HA- well, at the same time Coraline was his sister's friend, and his sister seem to really trust and care about her... He rolled his eyes and sighed, quickly going to where his sister was hidden as he told her to get out of under the bed quick. "Luna, get out" He whispered as Luna then got out of under the bed and turned into a human. "Where's Coraline?" She mumbled as she walked out of the door to spot Coraline and talking, they seem to be arguing. Before she could walk up to them Rowan pulled her arm back and stopped her. "I don't think we should go up to her" Rowan muttered as he gently pulled his sister back behind him as if in a protective way. "But-" Luna said with an offended tone as she frowned. Rowan just rolled his eyes and groaned. Rowan walked up to the siblings as he stood next to Coraline as Luna followed behind. "We didn't do anything I promise, she's my sister's friend" Rowan said as he tried to convince her brother and being honest to him but it was like he was hesitant and wondering if he should believe her or not.

Luna decided to go Coraline as she found a way to slip away from Rowan's grip, going under his arm that was blocking the way and went out the door to her human friend. Coraline spotted Luna as she pointed at her. " See, that's his sister I swear!" She said honestly, Luna was Rowan's sister, her and Rowan didn't do anything inappropriate like what her brother was thinking of as they would never do anything like it, she didn't like Rowan that way! He was so rude and- what else-? Oh yeah, a jerk and has no manners. Coraline wouldn't admit it but he was good looking, but yes, she did find him like a jerk. Rowan immediately followed his sister since he doesn't want her to get included in Coraline's business, standing beside his sister who was standing beside Coraline.

Coraline's brother sighed as he believed her and trusted his sister. "Fine, I believe you..." Her brother mumbled before glaring at Rowan and then back to his sister. She smiled and hugged her brother tightly as she couldn't help but thank him repeatedly. "It's okay..." (Her brother's name) mumbled as he hugged her back glaring at both Rowan and his sister.

(Her brother's name) slowly let go of his sister, Coraline before realizing that his friend was here. "I'm going to be in my room, If you need anything tell me, Don't do anything you're not supposed to do" He said as he smiled softly, patting Coraline's head as he ruffled her hair after, making her short brown hair messy before he walked away.
