Fall

Falling

Faster with every second

Flailing

Grasping and screeching for help

Feeling so alone when no one shows

This is the end

There is no tomorrow

No second chances

Reality hits

Waking to a cold stale hospital room

An IV drip, and stitches wrapped with gauze

All you wanted was an escape

But even that gets ripped away

Disappointed looks fill the room

Everyone walking on eggshells

Wanting to know why, but afraid to ask

What could have gone wrong

The door was locked

Music playing softly

Sinking to your nose in red stained water

Dropping the companion who helped you

A box of goodbyes laying on the sink

But it still wasn't enough.
