As I wake up I notice that I'm now the only one in the bed and it seems like it has been that way for a while now. I suddenly feel nervous and insecure.
I curl up into a little ball in Leah's bed and begin to shed some tears.
Not long after, Leah re-enters the room and gets back into bed. I don't think she's noticed my shrivelled state.
"Morning Em." Leah whispers.
I can't reply, so instead, I let out some sobs that I tried to keep quiet.
"Em? What's up?" She asks. I feel like she's now looking after me because she has to, she doesn't need to be looking after me.
"You left me? I got scared again." I admit.
"I was only gone for 10 minutes." She chuckles.
"That was 10 minutes too many." I sob.
"Oh darling, you're alright. I've got you." She whispers to me.
Today was going to be a busy one for Leah and me. We had media duties scheduled for our YouTube channel, where we shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of our lives as footballers with our fans. It was always fun to interact with our supporters in this way, but it also meant we had to be prepared to answer all sorts of questions about ourselves and each other.
As I got ready for the day, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement building in the pit of my stomach. Despite the nerves that always accompanied public appearances, I was looking forward to spending time with Leah and sharing this experience with her.

"You feeling better now?" Leah mouths to me across from the indoor pitch where we are about to start our media duties.I simply nod in reply and walk off with Millie to do our tasks.
After we have finished our videos, I am told I have to do an interview with Leah, first impressions.
When Leah and I arrived at the filming location, we were greeted by the production team and shown to our seats. The set was bright and inviting, with cameras set up to capture every angle of our conversation. I stole a quick glance at Leah, who was adjusting her microphone with a determined expression on her face.
The interview began, and the questions came fast and furious. We were asked about everything from our favorite football memories to our most embarrassing moments on the pitch. But it was when the topic turned to each other that things really got interesting.
"Emma, what was your first impression of Leah when you met her?" the interviewer asked, turning the spotlight on me.
I couldn't help but smile as I thought back to that day at the England training camp when I first laid eyes on Leah. "My first impression of Leah was that she was incredibly confident and self-assured," I replied honestly. "She had this presence about her that drew people in, and I remember thinking that she must be someone special."
Leah's cheeks flushed pink at my words, and she shot me a grateful smile before turning to answer the next question.
As the interview went on, we were asked more and more questions about each other, each one designed to test our knowledge and reveal hidden truths. It was clear that Leah and I knew each other better than anyone else, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride at the depth of our connection.
Once the interview was over, Leah and I headed to the gym for our daily workout. It was a crucial part of our routine as professional athletes, and we took our fitness seriously.
"Let's go Em." Leah tells me grabbing my hand unconsciously, "we've got a gym session and I wanna show you how much I can lift."
"Okay Le, but I bet you I can lift more." I smirk, always in for a competition.
"In your dreams." She whispers, dragging me to the gym where everyone will be pretty soon.
Leah wasted no time in heading over to the weights section, where she began loading up the barbell for a bench press. I watched in awe as she effortlessly lifted the heavy weight, her muscles flexing with each repetition.
Not to be outdone, I made my way to the pull-up bar and began to demonstrate my own strength. With each pull-up, I felt a sense of exhilaration coursing through my veins, knowing that Leah was watching me with admiration.
As we pushed ourselves to our limits, I couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie with Leah. Despite our competitive nature, there was an unspoken understanding between us, a shared desire to push each other to be the best we could be.
And as we finished our workout and made our way back to our room, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the bond that had formed between us. Leah and I may have started off as teammates, but we had quickly become so much more than that. We were partners in every sense of the word, supporting and encouraging each other every step of the way.
As I settled into bed that night, I couldn't help but smile at the thought of all the adventures that lay ahead for Leah and me. With her by my side, I knew that anything was possible, and I couldn't wait to see what the future had in store for us.
