I enter Micheals room, he's playing with his stuffed animals, I watch him for a minute before speaking
"Micheal, want to go to the beach?" he instantly turns around "Yes!" he screams he runs up and hugs me since me and Josh switch off Micheal every two weeks, he doesn't get to go to the beach as much anymore
"Get ready I'll be there soon to help you," he nods his head and runs to his drawers to find his swim trunks I leave and change into a white bikini. when I finish I go into Micheal's room to help him put his trunks on when I finish getting the both of us ready a pack up my motorcycle "Yeah! Motorcycle" Micheal chants when I get him to get his helmet on I sit him in front of me and we ride I to the beach.
When we get to the beach the tempreature went up. Micheal runs straight for the water "Be Careful!" I yell to him I set out a towel and watch him play my legs held close and my arms protecting them. I take my eyes off of him for a few seconds, and stare off in the opposite direction. But when I look up, he's gone.
"Micheal's! Where are you!?" panic begins to set in but I hear Micheal's voice cry out "Mommy!" I turn around and find him drowning but he goes under before I can reach him. A man dives into the water and carries Micheal out of the water, coughing out water. The man hands Micheal over to me I hug him tight and stroke his hair.
"Thank You" I say staring into the man's eyes, Micheal begins to cry in my shoulder I look into the man's eyes once more and I realize who it is he's the man from the bar yesterday
"Jessica,?" he asks. I nod my head
"Can I see how the boy is doing,?" I nod my head once again. I walk out of the water and onto the beach the sand sticks to my feet and I realize I went into the water with all my clothes on. When I set Micheal onto the towel I take my shorts and shirt off revealing my bikini
"I really don't know how to thank you, Peter"
"I do," he says "you could go to dinner with me," he smiles wide waiting for my reply "
Sure," I say. A smile emerges from my teeth, somthing I don't do as much anymore.
"By the way call me Bruno darlin' I didn't get to give this to you yesterday," he hands me a piece of paper with his phone number on it
"Can I stay here with you? Watch over the little boy?"
"I think we should go I'm sorry,"
"No thats okay, but quickly can I take your picture?" I sigh "Okay" he takes out an old polaroid camera and snaps the picture. A minute passes and after it prints he holds it in his hand in between two fingers and smiles "Perfect. See you tommorow," I wave goodbye to him as I start the motorcycle for the long way home"
