Chapter1;  Paige’s POV

*RING! RING! RING!*

“Ugh.  First day of middle school, here I come!” I mumbled, hitting my alarm clock to make it stop that awful racket. I slowly drug myself out of bed, knowing that if I didn’t get up now, my mom would get me up.

Going to my bathroom and looking at my reflection in the mirror, I decided that I looked decent enough without my makeup today. Looking through my closet, I found my purple Aeropostale skinny jeans and pulled them on. I decided on wearing a t-shirt with my school’s name on it, and my neon green hoodie. I ran a brush through my hair, which is brown with blonde, blue, pink, and purple dip dye. (A/N picture to the side of what her hair somewhat looks like)

Yeah, I know my clothes don’t exactly match the best, but since when do I care what people think of me?

I skipped down the stairs two steps at a time, then jumped across the floor at the bottom.  I’m usually not a normal kind of person.

“Hey, Mom. What’s for breakfast?” I asked my mom as I walked in the kitchen. She was already in the kitchen making our breakfast.”

“Bacon and eggs,” she replied, while not looking up from her cooking.

“Yum!” I exclaimed, grabbing a plate of food as my mom was finishing up. I practically inhaled it, along with a glass of milk my mother set out for me.

“Slow down, honey, you’re gonna choke!” my mom said, just now sitting down as I finished eating.

“Yeah, yeah. I’m fine mom! But I’m gonna be late if I don’t leave right now. Bye!” I pulled on my neon green and blue Osiris’ and went outside to wait for the bus.

As soon as I walked outside,  the bus pulled up at my house. I hopped up the steps and fell not-so-gracefully into my seat.

“Hey girly, how’d your summer go?” I turned around in my seat so I could see one of my best friends, Brielle, who was the one talking to me.

“Not too bad. Got kinda boring after the first few weeks, but it was nice. No homework or getting up early. That’s my kinda life!”

“Same old Paige, so lazy!” Brielle teased.

“Hey! Did I turn invisible over the summer? I still haven’t gotten a hello from you!” I heard a familiar voice from the seat behind me say.

“Bryar! What’s up short stuff?” I said, peeking my head over the seat so I could see my short friend.

“Nothing much, tall stuff. Just ready to start a new school year. Woop woop!” she replied enthusiastically. That girl is always so hyper!

“Haha you haven’t changed at all since last year!” I laughed, shaking my head. I sat back dow in my seat so I wouldn’t get yelled at by the bus driver. I plugged my headphones into my ears and listened to the amazing voices of my favorite daringest duo, Karmin. You could say that my best friend Zaylee and I are a bit obsessed.. but if you have a problem with it, I don’t care.

The bus pulled up sooner than I expected at Bayfield Jr. High. Oh boy, I thought. Here comes the first day of what could be purely amazing or it couldbe pure torture.
