He knows almost perfectly how to handle women, so that he can remain single, yet they don't feel hurt. Or only he thinks so.

Kei's POV

It was July and the heat sucked out of me any desire for working. The A/C was working in the office but the scorching summer could still be felt. I entered into the bank system another client's personal data when I received a message on my mobile.

"Winnie, will you have time for me today? I want to talk about something that torments me lately."

My pulse inexplicably hurried and a little smile crept on my face. Perhaps Luhan will finally say those words that I long to hear from a year. I noticed that he was immersed in thoughts lately and treated me nice. Apparently, he's been thinking a lot and was now sure that he loved me. I quickly wrote a reply to his message:

"I always have time for you, deer. I will be glad to see you later."

The end of the working day came quickly. I took cab and went straight to the place where he lived. When I got out of the car, he was waiting for me outside.

- Hello, Winnie. - He hugged me and smiled. He seemed humble.

- How are you, my deer? - I took his hand and he took me for a walk that turned out to be quite a long. We walked through the neighborhood and came to the center then went through it. I was pretty tired and the air was still hot in these afternoon hours. The whole time we talked about random stuff. One of his particular concerns was that his work wasn't going as it should. He was thinking for a change to refresh its activity. Luhan recently launched a small advertising business. He narrated what was going on and all in details. Later the topic changed to how he would love if his girlfriend wouldn't rely on him and could pay for her own bills. It made me feel weird because I wasn't an exception, even though it was my first job as an administrator at a bank. Payment wasn't much but how many people can boast of such a first job? I had a low wage but enough to meet my own needs, although I still lived with my parents.

We sat on the terrace of a cafe, overlooking the hills on the outskirts of the city. We spent quite pleasant there and for the first time we were alone for so long. Usually, some of his friends constantly accompanied us or hung in his house for hours, one of them - Sehun, even for days. This annoying brat loved to empty Luhan's refrigerator, rolling on the couch in the living room eating and watching TV or playing on the Xbox for hours, falling asleep there, and when he woke up - he finished what was left for eating, leaving a mess and a bunch of dirty dishes.

On the way back, we walked hand in hand. Luhan invited me to his apartment and I gladly agreed. I figured this would be the perfect ending of the evening. When we entered, his roommate Xiumin had returned from China. He was a modest young man, quiet and intelligent and was always nice to talk to. He was in living room with his girlfriend who studied medicine. They greeted me and continued to watch TV. Luhan invited me into his bedroom. He flopped on the bed and turned on one side. I looked around hesitantly and left my purse on the dresser by the door then sat beside him and stroked his hair gently.
