I was still half asleep when Sandor came barging into me and Edalines room.
"Grady! Edaline! Wake up something's happened!" Sandor exclaimed urgently.
"Huh?" I questioned, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. "What happened?"
"Sophie woke up from a nightmare and went outside to sit under callas tree. I told her I was going to check the property and while I was gonna she went missing." Sandor said so fast I could barely understand it.
My stomach dropped to my feet. No... this can't be happening. I've got to be having a nightmare or something. I pinched my arm to see if I was just dreaming, but I clearly wasn't. A tiny pain in my arm from me pinching it proved that.
"What!" Edaline screeched. I gently grabbed her hand, trying to give her some support, but I was freaking out on the inside.
"I tried tracking her to see if she just went to everglen or somewhere and her trackers aren't in her clothing anymore, they were destroyed." Sandor told us.
I got up to start pacing around the room. I looked at my feet as I walked back in forth in our room.
"Have you checked for any signs of the neverseen?" I asked Sandor.
I looked up at Sandor as he replied. "Yes I did, they were definitely here. I don't know how they got past me, but they did."
My thoughts raced. Of course they were here! Why else would she just disappear. I tried to think of what I should do, panic making it hard to focus.
I came up with a tiny plan. "I'm going to hail Alden. Edaline, can you hail Mr Forkle and Inform him of what's happened?"
"Of course." Edaline immediately grabbed her Imparter to hail him, I stepped out of the room so I could hail Alden.
