I was just waking up for the morning when I got hailed by Grady, normally he doesn't call me this early. I thought to myself. I picked up my imparter and answered him, not really thinking much of it.
He looked panicked and stressed. My immediate thought was this can't be good.
"Alden." Grady started, abnormally series.
I wiped the sleep out of my eyes. "What's wrong? What happened?"
I tried to ask him calmly, but the worry and fear in his eyes made me nervous. I stepped out of my room so I didn't wake Della, who was still asleep.
Grady could tell I was exiting the room, and waited to tell me until I was out. "Sophie.." he started, his voice cracking.
Tears welled in Grady eyes, right when he said her name, his expression looked pained.
"What happened to her?" I asked, trying to stay as calm as possible.
"She... she was kidnapped."
"WHAT!" I shouted. This was not what I expected to hear from him.
Della rushed out of her room. Shoot. I woke her with my shout.
"What happened?" She frantically asked me.
I looked at her with tears gathering in my eyes. "Sophie... she was kidnapped."
