Monday, her first day of school and she looked at herself in the mirror in her uniform. Adjusting the collar of the shirt. She honestly didn't hate it, but she was struggling to fix her hair that day. She hummed softly as she had been attempting to braid her hair but gave up and settled for a ponytail. She grabbed her bag and walked out. She had to walk but luckily the school wasn't too far away. She was going early as well.
She walked down rushing to make it before Ciel arrived. He had the advantage of his dad being able to take him. Clarus was already at the Citadel. The morning was cool but not as cold as Niflheim, this was a pleasant temperature. One you take a nice leisurely stroll in as long as you weren't rushing to beat your best friend to school. She laughed to herself, she would get there first and rub it in his face. She smirked to herself, today she would for sure make new friends with her slight confidence boost. Going out did help, how much? She couldn't say. It was very easy with her being distracted. School work would surely also keep her distracted.
She looked down at her phone, she hadn't gotten a message from Ciel that he had arrived at school so maybe she had time. She quickened her pace. A slow jog, she saw the school building come into view, it was still early at least that was a good thing. She sped up and nearly made it towards the last street before-
She smacked right into someone falling over them, groaning softly as she pushed herself off. Muttering many apologies.
"I am so sorry- I should've been watching where I've been going. I was just trying to beat my friend and-"
"Well, he sounds like a very handsome and cool friend. Would be a shame if you lost." The voice spoke.
When she focused her eyes, she scoffed and looked away from Ciel. Of course, he ended up walking as well. She pouted, her bottom lip showing more. She wasn't one to usually pout but this certainly was the exception.
"My dad had to go to the Citadel earlier. Suppose...tie?" Ciel held out his hand.
"I suppose that'll be fine for the day." She shook his hand, "Sucks that you had to walk too."
"Eh what can ya do." Ciel motioned for her to follow, and they walked together.
Norah playfully punched his arm. As they walked, he told her about how the school works. Luckily, they were in the same class, Along with Noctis and Prompto, they would probably all end up sitting close to each other. They got to the school, and she got squared away with everything and she went to her locker and very quickly tensed at seeing all the students.
"Nor? Hey Norah. Hey." He flicked the back of her head causing her to flinch, "Sorry. Come on, Class is about to start." He heard the bell ring, "Ok we got five minutes come on."
He led her to the classroom holding her hand so she wouldn't get lost if she froze. All the students were sitting down but them. Ciel took his spot and Norah walked over to the teacher. The woman looked overlooking surprised at her and smiled.
"You must be Norah. Welcome, I hope you'll enjoy your time here." She turned to the class, "We have a new student today, please introduce yourself and tell us where you come from."
"Uh...right." She looked over the class, there were way more students than she expected, "I'm Norah Izunia and uh well I'm from Niflheim. admittedly this is also my first time going to school."
"Niflheim? So, like, are you one of those robot things?" One girl towards the front asked.
"Um...no. I am human like all of you..." She muttered softly rubbing her arm.
