The next conversation is in English as Kiara is already back in the US.

"How about him? He's hot." Christina pointed to a guy on her left, just a few tables from us. He was tall and lean. Handsome too. American.

"Go on, girl. You're pretty, you can seduce any single guy here." She wiggled her brows as she sipped from her glass.

This was our 5th glass of whiskey but Christina is a hard drinker, she can handle a bottle of whiskey and vodka.

"I'm just here because you said your guy ghosted you and you wanted hard liquor and a party." I finished my glass as I tried to look for a waiter who was giving out drinks around.

"Right. He was an ass. Parker and Sakusa are both assholes. They love leading girls into thinking they were feeling the same thing. But turns out, they don't!"

She drank her glass that was half full and nearly gagged after but was able to hold it in. She laughed. "Gosh that would've been so embarrassing."

"I'll go get another glass." I stood up.

"You know what? Get a bottle and an ice bucket. The night is still long, girl." So I did. I mean we're old enough to drink like it's our last.

"Fuck" I groaned as I try to get up from my bed– uh correction, couch.

"Good morning princess. Lunch is ready." I closed my eyes again trying to adjust to the brightness from the windows. Christina's apartment is full of windows as her room was on the edge of the building.

"What time is it?" I got up. Noticing that my clothes were still the same as last night, I suddenly felt sticky. "I need a cold shower."

"Thought you'd say it. I prepared clothes for you. Go, hurry." I ran to her bathroom and saw pairs of clothes so I took a quick shower.

"Feel refreshed?" I sat on one of the stools as she went to the counter and filled a cup with coffee.

She opened one of the cabinets and took out the newly washed dog food bowl and filled it with some dog food.

I immediately stood up, remembering my dog I had that I asked Cristina to look after.

"Shoot! I totally forgot about Pumpkin and Cupcake!" I helped her prep the foods but it seems that they're just on dry feeds today.

"What a bad, bad fur mom." Christina glared at me before handing me the two bowls, while she took a big cup full of water.

There are two rooms in Cristina's condo. The smaller room is where the dog's room is, I know, amazing.

She loves dogs, or pets and even kids, IF, and only if they're not her's. You know, when you're tired you can just give it back? Like that, she is totally like that.

Christina opened the room and there they are, my two babies.

Pumpkin is a golden who is 3 years old, and Cupcake, an Australian Shepherd, 1 year old.

Both are trained and well behaved, that's why Christina loves taking care of them. I played with them for a good fifteen minutes before I asked them to eat. Me and Cristina left the room but kept the door open as we walked back to the kitchen.

"You know I love them right?" She asked as we both wash our hands, "But you gotta get them out of here, they don't have any area to run around."

I nodded. I knew that. I have caretakers for the two of them, just that she had an emergency before I flew to Japan, and her and Christina are the only people I trust with Pumpkin and Cupcake.
