I returned to my usual routine. Work, sleep, eat, work out, and then work again. I didn't call my brothers even though they tried calling me a few times.
Kiyoomi...... it's a stupid move for me to expect his call or text. But nothing came. Motoya, on the other hand, sent me emails. Which I also didn't open.
It's been three weeks, and V.League will start next week. I read Jiro's last email; he said he will be playing for their first game as Atsumu caught a cold the other day, so they're letting him rest for a few days.
The Hotel's anniversary party just happened 2 weeks ago. Everything went smoothly, as to what I expected from Christina.
I don't have too much work now, I'm just taking a nap on my swivel chair, waiting a few minutes before 5pm so I can go home when the door opens harshly.
"Christina, I told you not to disturb me."
"Kiara."
"Aniki?" I stood upon seeing my brother in front of me and Christina behind her.
"I'm sorry, I could not stop Sir. Miyuki from entering, Ma'am."
"It's okay. You can go home early, Christina. Thank you." She bowed before taking her leave. "Have a seat, Aniki."
He broke eye contact and sat on one of the single chairs. I walked near him and sat in front of him.
"You looked like you aged." I joked.
"And you..." he stopped and took a swift look at me from head to toe before continuing, "Different." He cleared his throat and walked to the long couch.
"How are you?" He asked. He adjusted his tie and his suit before sitting comfortably. "I thought you were in Japan."
I walked to the couch and sat across from him, "That was three weeks ago, I only stayed there for a week."
"Will you be going back next week, then?"
I shook my head, "No," It came like a whisper which he seemed to have understood thus his puzzled reaction.
"Well, that's news. Are you that busy? Do you need help with something?" I looked at the door when a knock was heard from outside. "Come in."
Christina comes in carrying two cups of coffee. She laid the tray on the table before kneeling to place the cup in front of us.
"Black?" My brother asked.
"Yes sir."
"I don't drink black coffee though, you know that." He joked to which I saw how Christina rolled her eyes at him.
"Don't joke with my secretary, Aniki. She's more than capable of throwing a hot black coffee on people that pisses her off."
"I know that." I heard him whisper. I thanked Christina before she left. I took the cup and sipped but was shocked to see my brother take his cup of coffee too.
"And I thought you do not drink that?" I asked.
He looked at me and raised his brows. "Why? Can't I try?" He sipped and it only took him a second before putting the cup back down and even pushing it away. "Why do people like those kinds of coffee so much?" He cleared his throat.
