'So who was she ?' I asked Quadri through the phone

'No one important baby don't worry.'

'It couldn't have been nobody by the way you two was hittin it off. So c'mon who was she ?'

'A friend.'

Even I could tell that was a lie , that bitch had to be more than that and I was gonna find out. I hung up on him not in the mood to talk.

Niyah walked into the kitchen holding the notebook she'd got from daycare. 'look what I drew mummy.'

I knelt down to her level and peered over at the four figures that covered the page. Two larger figures holding hands.

'thats you and daddy.' niyah said pointing to the larger figures. 'and thats me and trevis.' she finished pointing at the smaller ones.

I smiled , iknew what she wanted , i wondered when it could truly happen if it could truly be.

'Thats beautiful baby but umm what made you think of this ?'

'A family mummy , I want us to be a family.'
