It had been more than 36 hours since the dog? incident. That's what Serena called the incident in her mind: The 'dog?' incident. She hadn't talked to anyone about it, yet. She wanted to talk to someone, but she could not. At the end of the day, one of the most famous singers in the world was lonely too.
The last 36 hours had been crazy for Serena too. It was like every thing was going against Serena. While leaving for the airport, the car somehow miraculously had a flat tyre. After fixing it, it got a gas leak. The driver of the car was smart, and as soon as he realized something was up, he got Serena out of the car, and drove the car far away without any information. Serena was puzzled. Behind Serena there were more cars which contained Serena's crew members. They stood there and wondered what was happening. A couple seconds later a loud boom resonated in the air. There was an explosion. The gas leak had been so severe that the car exploded. If Serena had been sitting in that car for 2 more minutes, she would have been history. Everyone worried about the driver, but he was actually a smart guy. He jumped out of the car just moments before it exploded.
That event unnerved Serena. Later when she reached the airport, the dogs seemed to be acting strangely. That stuff really scared Serena. Birds were flying low and making all sorts of loud sounds. An electrical pole collapsed a few feet in front of Serena.
The plane experience was the most horrible. Every weather forecast channels had predicted a 0% chance of turbulence and completely clear sky, but that turbulence on the plane? it was one of the worst turbulence that had ever happened in that decade. All of a sudden thunder was striking everywhere. The plane was spared because it repelled the lightnings. But the plane shook like crazy. The storms caused an hour delay of the flight. The flight was unable to land properly because the rains had flooded the airport. However because the pilot was really efficient, the passengers survived.
It was like unnatural forces at play. And the entire time, Serena wondered about her experience in the morning.
However shit got real crazy when a person dropped dead all of a sudden beside Serena. She was just sitting in the airport waiting for her luggage at the check-out. Beside her was as lady, of about 50 years of age. She was asleep. All of a sudden she opened her eyes shouted out loud and then closed her eyes. She died.
Now stuff got serious. Even the crew knew that something was up. Serena's manager sat beside her, and asked her what was up. Serena could not give any explanation. The crew maintained a safe distance from her.
That night, there was a fire in the place where Serena was staying. Stuff seemed to get to keep getting worse.
The morning was relatively peaceful. Serena avoided going outside at all, even though thousands of her fans in Los Angeles requested to see her. Finally an hour before the show, Serena left the hotel from the emergency exit, got in the car with her manager and went to the stadium where the concert would take place.
Serena was almost prepared for the car to blow up anytime. Her hand tightly gripped on the door handle, ready to open it and jump out at a moment's notice.
"You need to calm down." Her manager said. "else you are going to mess the whole thing up."
Serena took deep breaths. Her manager grabbed her hand, and held it. Serena was grateful for the contact.
The journey to Sofi Stadium was unexpectedly okay. Finally when she reached there, there was a huge crowd, everyone wanting to see Serena. Serena was usually okay with crowds. But this time she wanted there to be less people. In case her bad luck streak started working again, and people died. Nothing bad had happened since the fire. Perhaps this time it was going to be the worst.
