"What the fuck was that?" His dad yells as soon as they are inside the cabin.
"Your celebration?" Jake folds his arms, sitting at the couch.
"You wanna lose everything?" His dad glares, his eyes lacking the warmness.
"I have more to lose?" Jake looks at him, "I have lost my childhood, teenage, my mother, my 20s... Is there more to lose?"
"Your boyfriends company?" His dad smirks.
"The park's company is under En Corporation. And the CEO is my boyfriend." Jake swats his hand.
"Your home." His dad takes a seat, folding his arms.
Jake gasp out loud, "I am so scared. Without you who will donate?" Jake holds his heart in the most dramatic way possible.
"Mr. Shim. I have removed the name of your company from my home's list. And gosh, it feels so much more homier." Jake smiles, "Anything else?"
"You can handle the home by yourself?" His dad raises his brows.
"That's not your business." Jake smiles, "Your business is to keep this." Jake hands him his resignation letter with company's stamp and all, "Perks of being a CEO."
"I am your dad. How can you leave me for your mere boyfriend and home?"
"My dad? Mere?" Jake frowns, "Have you ever been there for me as a dad? When Jaehyunie hyung and I were kid, you were too busy to be a good heir to the company. When our mother was dying due to disease, you were busy pressuring her with works, When my only hyung became my guardian, you took him away to make your working bot. When I became an adult by my own, you forced me to be a robot too. And my only friend Nicholas, you were busy forcing us to get married to have a profit in your company."
"When I ran away and finally had a home, my person, you took me away from them, forcing me, blackmailing me. Is that how a dad work?" Jake's eyes glisten, "Because of you, I was afraid of relationships. I was afraid of everyone abandoning me, like you abandoning my mother, me and my brother for your greed. I was afraid because inside me, your blood runs."
Jake's tear drops while his father drop on his knees, "I am sorry, son. Dad is sorry." His dad's voice trembles.
"You are sorry?" Jake's voice cracks, "What are you sorry for?"
"I am sorry for being your mother's husband, your and your brother's dad. I am sorry."
"Then be a better person dad." Jake swallows his tears, "And let me and my hyung live." With that Jake walked out of the office.
He looks at his people and lets out a small smile at his brother before walking out. He gets on the elevator, Sunghoon following him.
They walk out the office buildings and get on the taxi and reaches theri home in silence.
Both walks in.
"Jake." Sunghoon calls in a small voice, "Are you okay?"
Jake turns back, his eyes and nose red by all the tear holding. He shakes his head slightly, "I am not okay. I am not okay at all." Jake breaks down. Sunghoon hurriedly holds Jake.
"Hoon-ah, I made my dad cry. Hoon-ah, he cried. He- because of me- I am his son and I made him fall on his knees. He- He broke down." Jake sobs louder.
"Our dad, who'll be there for him when he cries." Jake holds Sunghoon tighter, "There is noone for him. My poor dad. I humiliated him as if I was any better son for him."
Sunghoon holds Jake tight, caressing his back. His heart breaking at his lover's sight.
