I sat there silently staring at my phone. I've only seen Jon a couple times but I couldn't believe he was gone. The familiar face I could called my friend was now gone. I would never see him again.

"Hey Alice," I heard my dad say.

"Hi dad." I said quietly, sniffling loudly.

"I'm so sorry baby girl." He said sympathetically.

"I know. Me too." I said. Tears were escaping my eyes faster than I expected. Soon my cried turned to sobs, and my sons were added with wails. I didn't know I could get so upset about one person.

My phone buzzed, I read the contact name. Juliet cx

Have you heard the news?

I didn't want to be rude, but I ignored her. Even if she is my best friend, I am honestly not in the mood to talk. At all.

I watched my dad walk up the stairs and left me alone. I sat alone for a minute and decided that I wanted to go on a drive.

I told my dad and got into the car. I pulled out of my drive way and I turned on my car radio.

Testosterone boys,
and harlequin girls.
Will you dance to this beat?
And hold a lover close?

I slapped the radio, turning it off and looked in the mirror. I was a complete mess. I don't know why I was getting so worked up about this. I didn't even know the poor guy.

I wiped my face and made my way to the local 7/11 on Fremont street. I pulled into the parking lot and got out of my car. While I was locking it, I heard a sob. "Hello?" I called out, but it happened again. I decided that I wasn't going to put up with it when I walked over to the side of the 7/11 to see a girl with bright orange hair bawling her eyes out. "Hi." I said walking up to her.

"Who are you?" She asks me, wiping her face with the sleeve of her sweater.

"I'm Alice, like from Wonderland. Who are you? And why are you crying?" I said walking closer.

"It's a really long, long story. But my name is Felicity."

My eyes widened as I looked at the girl with orange dyed hair. Could this be Jon's girlfriend?

"Why are you here?" I asked, pointing out the fact that we were literally between buildings of a 7/11 and a lingerie store.

"Well, this is where I met him. He was smoking a cigarette and I walk with a friend. She dated me to go up and ask for his number. So I did, and that's when it all happened." She started to cry again. I sat down next to her and put my arm around her.

"Hey it's going to be okay, but is this mans named Jon?" I asked looking into her piercing green eyes.

"Yes, and now he's gone." She cried into my shoulder. I didn't know the poor girl, but she really seemed like she needed someone.

"Hey how about I give you a ride home so you don't have to walk?" I offered.

"Okay, I live kinda far though. You have to go all the way down to Vegas."

"That's not too bad." I said smiling.

~~~
The whole car ride was a blast, I managed to cheer Felicity up in a matter of minutes.
"It's this right," She said laughing from what I said earlier.
"Okay, what house is it?" Felicity lived in more of a richer neighborhood. Which was completely fine, I mean I don't judge worth shit.
"The one at the end of the cul-de-sac," I kept driving down to reach her house, which was practically one of those Barbie mansions you would see on tv.
"Woah," I said pulling up into her never ending driveway.
"Yeah, I promise you. I am not one of those snotty rich kids." She said tucking an orange strand behind her ear.
"Oh I didn't think so. I mean I did find you crying in between a lingerie store and a 7/11. But that's okay, we all have our stories." I said smiling at her.
"Do you want to come in? I'll introduce you to my mom and my brother and my sisters?" She said, I mean I guess you could say we were friends. I was completely fine with that too.
"Oh- sure!"
~~~

"Hello Miss Jackson." The butler said awaiting at the door.

"Hello there Pepper." She said with a slight bow, "This is Pepper, he's our butler. He's very nice."

"Who's this?" He asked, pointing to me.

"This is one of my friends, her name is Alice." I smiled as she introduced her.

"Hello Alice, its very nice to meet you." He stuck his hand out and I shook it.

Holly balls, this place was fancy. I didn't feel like I belonged here. It was almost weird for me, but I got over the feelings and went over and talked to who she wanted to introduce me to.

"Mother!" She yelled, and her mom came down the golden railed stairs. The house was more of a black themed, which I loved. The walls were black with white boarders, almost like my house.

"Dude I was sleeping, what do you want?" She laughed. Fixing her eyes on me her eyes widened.

"This is my friend," She smiled at me.

"I'm A-" her mom cut me.

"You're Alice."

"Yes? and you are?" I said laughing slightly.

"I'm Cassandra, Cassandra Jackson. I'm your mom."
