CHAPTER 33 - The house

Noura's POV:

I am currently in the car with miss Blunt on my way to the house, I am going to pack my things and live with Scarlett. The car ride is silent, I still feel like I need to process this. I would never believe that I would be adopted at 15, and adopted by Scarlett Johansson are you fucking kidding me?! I am a Johansson now, Noura Johansson this is so weird. I feel so incredibly happy, but also empty. I'm going to leave the house I lived in for 11 years, that is not nothing. I will leave the room I always found comfort in. And I know that I always called it the house, because it is not home. I still think it is not home, but still I lived there for 11 years. This shit is messing with my mind.

"How are you feeling Noura?" Miss Blunt asked me. "I am happy, but it feels so weird to leave the house" I told her honest. "I understand that, you are always welcome to come by you know that?" She told me sweet. "Thank you, for everything. Out of all the leaders I've experienced, you're the best one" I told her with a big smile. "Thank you, that means a lot." She told me. Miss Blunt parked the car, and we went out. The house was very silent when we entered, the other kids were still at school. I went upstairs and opened the door of my room. I stood still for a god 10 minutes, just looking at my room. "Do you want help with packing?" Miss Blunt asked me, snapping me out of my thoughts. "No it's okay" I said and started packing my clothes. I don't have many so it all fitted in two bags.

After 30 minutes I was done packing, I let myself fall on my bed and let out a deep sigh. Until someone knocked on the door. "Come in" I said. "It's me, you okay?" Scarlett said while opening the door. "I'm Fine, it's just weird leaving this place I think" I told her. She went sitting next to me. "I understand, look if you're not ready to leave you can-" "No, no I want to leave. It's just weird I don't know. I want to live with you Scarlett, you adopted me" I rescued her. She wanted to put her hand on my shoulder, but I moved back. "Sorry, I think I did enough touching for today" I told her. I lied, there is more behind it. "It's okay, I'm sorry I shouldn't have assumed" She said. "I'm ready to go" I stood up and grabbed my two bags.

Scarlett and I came downstairs. "You got everything Noura?" Miss Blunt asked me. "I think so" I said. "I am going to miss you, I wish you the best kid" Miss Blunt told me honest. "I'm going to miss you too, and thank you for everything" I told her. We said our goodbyes and Scarlett and I walked to the car. Scarlett put my bags in the back, and we went sitting in the front. "So, I figured it would be nice if we got ehm, got to my house, ehm we could just relax. So Rose is staying with her dad till Sunday." Scarlett told me. "That's okay" I said and gave her a smile. I noticed that she was struggling what to say, home house whatever. I hope it can be home soon.

We arrived at her- our- I don't know house, we went inside. We went upstairs right away because Scarlett wanted to show me my room. "So ehm, Robbie helped me, Lizzie helped with the decoration. If you don't like it we can change it" Scarlett told me. "I absolutely love it, thank you so much" I said with a big smile. "Thank you for everything" I added. "You don't have to thank me Nour, I'll help you unpack" She told me, and we started unpacking.

The room

"Actually? Where are Lizzie and Robbie?" I asked Scarlett while we unpacked. "They're staying at a hotel, flying back tomorrow. I just wanted some time with you" She told me, I gave her a smile. I put on some music, definitely Taylor Swift of course. We were both dancing in the room, Today Was A Fairytale playing.

After two hours we were done unpacking, my two bags. Well, we were done after half an hour but the dance party took all our time. Scarlett went downstairs and I was lying on, well my bed. Yeah my bed. I decided to text Julie.

After a while I went downstairs. "Hey, how about we order pizza? To celebrate?" Scarlett spoke up, I went sitting next to her on the couch. "Sure, great idea" I said. "Can Julie come over soon?" I asked her. "Of course, she is welcome anytime" She said, I smiled. "What do you want to do tomorrow? We don't have to go to the office" Scarlett told me. "Can we go to the beach tomorrow around the evening? Maybe I can take a picture of the sunset? We can stay home dueing the day?" I said. Scarlett looked at me surprised, I said home. "Of course, let's do that" Scarlett said, smiling.

The rest of the evening we ate pizza and laughed a lot. I am now lying in my bed trying to sleep. I am having a pretty hard time falling asleep, I am thinking too much. I said goodbye to the house today, to Miss Blunt. Scarlett is my mother now, it sounds so weird. I don't know how I'm ever going to get used to that. I have a little sister too now, I am happy with my life. I am really happy with my life. Even though it feels weird, it will just take some time I guess.

I am home.
