"Girl, you won't believe this!" Hannah, my best friend squealed as she neared my cubicle.

I groaned. "What?" I muttered, staring straight at my computer that was taking so long to load and open.

"I won the raffle for the NHL game tickets," she said proudly, leaning onto my cubicle with a proud grin on her face.

"Congratulations," I said with my tone full of false enthusiasm. I glanced at her. "Wait, NFL tickets?"

She almost rolled her eyes. "NHL," she corrected. "You know, the National Hockey League?"

I shrugged. "I don't watch hockey, sorry."

"Pretty sure you have heard about that league though."

"Sure," I sighed, giving up. I'll spend my lunch instead of stressing over this little piece of shit of a computer. I need a new one.

"So, you coming with me?"

I faced her fully and blinked. "What do you mean I'm coming with you?"

"I mean, I have two tickets and you're my best friend. You know what? Scratch that, you are coming with me, period."

"We have work to do."

She grinned. "Nuh-uh. Come on, take a vacation leave or something."

"Are you on leave that day?"

"Of course I am." She held her head high.

"I'll think about it..." I whispered.

She clapped her hands quietly. "Yay!"

I rolled my eyes. "Wait, what teams are playing?" I asked as if I know any hockey teams. The only hockey team I have ever heard my whole entire life is the Toronto Maple Leafs and that's it, I don't even know how many teams are there in the NHL.

"Detroit Red Wings and Seattle Kraken."

I nodded. "Hmmm'kay."

She wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tightly. "There's handsome dudes there," she whispered to my ear.

I side-eyed her. "As if a player would notice me."

"Oh, I'm pretty sure you will be noticed." She smirked.

I groaned. If she's delusional, I feed her delusions but sometimes it's vice versa or most of the time she's the only one being delusional. But I let her be.

I didn't bothered researching things about hockey or the NHL. I just jumped in head first with my friend, leaving New York to go to Seattle and watch the home game of...

I forgot the damn name.

"What was the name of that team again?" I asked, furrowing my brows.

The plane was preparing to land. The flight was 6 hour-ish, I don't know, I was just binge reading shit from my iPad so I kind of lost track of time.
