Keefe's POV:

If Bo comes creeping out of the shadows again, I will scream. I thought bodyguards and babysitters weren't allowed in the Elite towers and that was why Gigantor left me alone here, but no-

He asked Bo to babysit me instead.

AND GOT PERMISSION FROM THE FORKLENATOR!

The moment Gigantor disappeared, Bo crept out from behind the door of my next lesson and I'm pretty sure I yelped, not gonna lie.

"I thought you were supposed to be by Ro's side?" I tease.

He scowls. "Romhilda would most likely not approve if her charge is left unguarded while she was unable."

"Whatever you say," I sigh, walking towards my Empathy lesson, "I still have a couple more chapters to add to the Ballad of Bo and Ro."

I hear a groan from behind me. Success.

*.*.*

I almost collapse out the door.

"That lesson was torture." I can't help but complain. It's boring compared to, well, everything.

"You should've just let me just skip."

Bo doesn't respond. What a boring guy.

At least I have my linguistics lesson with Foster. Ever since I manifested again, I got put in more ability sessions. At least linguistics will be semi-tolerable.

And I have less ability to ditch class.

At this rate, I would have rathered to continue training the Grady at Havenfield than be here. But, I feel obligated to come as the one and only protector of the Mysterious Miss F. Without any other reason to be here, other than the amazing Foster Fan Club (and of course my friends), it gets annoying and tedious here. We could be out there finding and capturing my mom!

But, they said we did enough and to let the adults handle it now.

Even though Foster is still in the middle of everything. She is the Keeper for the elvin world's secrets now.

"How was your lesson?"

I turn around to see Foster standing behind me with Fitz. Grizel and Sandor are not to be seen, but that probably jut means they're around here somewhere, lurking in the shadows to flirt.

"Boring," I complain, "What about you two?"

Fitz sighed. "Tiergan made us do more cognate exercises. I liked it better when we were actually doing important things, as much as I love being a cognate."

Foster nodded grimly.

"Ready for our next lesson together, Foster?" I smirk.

She blushes in shock. "I completely forgot about that!" she exclaimed.

I raise an eyebrow and fan the emotions she and Fitz are sending as they mix together. "What do you have next, Fitzy?" I ask him, changing the subject before Foster and I go have a lesson with the delightful Lady Cadence.

"Alchemy." He scowls. I think school is starting to really get to all of us. It just doesn't feel as right as it used to.

"We'll see you at lunch, okay?" Foster smiled reassuringly to him, and I only feel a slight shift in emotions from him. Looks like he's actually getting over her. Thank goodness. I hated being in a distanced relationship with the Fitzter.

He nods at us, turns to leave, and Foster walks to get by my side. Or, I should say, stumbled, as she tripped on her own two feet and I had to reach out and steady her. "Falling head over heals already and we haven't even been alone for two seconds," I tease, mocking disapprovement, "I know I'm irresistable and all but..."

"I swear, I'm going to strangle you with my shoe."

"All right, chill!"

As she regains her balance, we start to go to linguistics.

Until, of course people have to ruin the mood... The Elite level students pay attention to us more  than I thought as I look around and feel the skeptism from everyone looking at us, along with the fear.

Sometimes, I just want to show them we aren't bad people.

But that clashes with the urge to pull fun pranks on everyone. And I definitely can't have that happening. How would Foxfire survive without my stellar, superb pranks?

For now, I have a class to attend with the most extraordinary girl in my life. And that is all that really matters to me.
