There, on the fragile border between sanity and fantasy, I find the desired refuge-a dreamlike universe that heals my wounds and allows me to soar toward the most exquisite freedom.

. . .

Like the bright sun on the horizon, I rose from the fresh grass, intoxicated by the morning dew. With the stealth of a daring spy, I silently approached the living enigma lying beneath that bush of conspiratorial whispers.

There, like a furry and mysterious sorceress, it slept, waving its long tail. Its pointed ears stood up like antennas capable of catching every bit of gossip and secret of Olympus. And its fur! So white it made snowflakes green with envy, and so soft it put the fluffiest clouds to shame.

Its huge, sparkling eyes, like two soul thieves, were adorned with a yellow hue that left the yolk of the freshest egg colorless.

But do not think its splendor remained immaculate, oh no! A dark spot on its face tried to mar its celestial appearance; however, this only granted it an aura of mystery and fascination.

Its remarkable feline features, worthy of a valuable painting, revealed to me that it was merely a kitten, likely lost.

Around its neck, it wore a red ribbon wrapping a type of paper, adorned with a plate of the purest gold, as genuine as a child's smile upon receiving their favorite dessert. And, oh, mighty Hecate! A message written in celestial calligraphy unfurled on that fine parchment, as delicate as a butterfly's whisper alighting on a flower.

...

My dear daughter, Andrea,

These words carry with them my deep and sincere love.

The animal now before you, apparently an ordinary cat, will be your faithful guardian throughout your existence. Through her, you will find the path to immortality. But remember that this choice will not be easy or light. Remember: immortality carries responsibilities and sacrifices.

My divine eyes shed tears for not being able to embrace you, but from above, I will always be with you, watching over every step you take.

In moments of despair and loneliness, seek the sunrise or sunset and you will find me there, always present like a star in the faint darkness. My love for you is infinite, my daughter.

Though my heart breaks from the distance, my love is immortal, like the eternal fire of my being.

Walk with bravery and face your destiny with passion and grace. Remember, the morning star accompanies you with every step. Fulfill your destiny with the certainty that my heart cries and, at the same time, smiles for you. May the magic of love always guide you, and may you find happiness in every corner of the universe.

With love and infinite sadness,

Aphrodite.

After finishing the reading, tears streamed from my eyes, falling to the ground like the majestic waterfalls of the Finga River. The intensity of her feelings enveloped me in a mantle of love, and the sweet comfort of her promise embraced me like the warm glow of Helios at dawn.

With a delicate gesture, I dried my tearful eyes, allowing the light to shine in all its splendor. Then, I noticed that I had left the golden plate adorning the cat, so I took it between my trembling fingers without a second thought. Immediately, I noticed that there were letters inscribed that, together, formed a very peculiar word:

"Mislady?" I mused aloud, chatting with the muse of strange names. "What an original name! It must be something like a fusion between misery and lady. But wait! Did Aphrodite launch a flying cat into the world from the sky?" I asked myself seriously, gazing into the infinite, as if awaiting an answer. "Well, it doesn't matter. Come here, cutie!" I whispered as I cradled her to my chest, still asleep.
