A month has passed since Spectrum gave up his goal to kill Dr. Eggman! And proved that is superior than Sonic in power and might, but on speed that's debatable. Nine and Tails are STILL proving against each other, each one of the two of them are the smartest and cunning! Knuckles, Amy and Rouge (just like Big, as always) remained in low profile for a while, so they could have peace and quiet. Shadow is watching to make sure that everything goes smoothly on Green Hill as always!
However, Eggman wanted revenge against Spectrum and Nine, because of the stunt that they and Sonic pulled through against his mastermind which went to smoke, causing his total and utter humiliation! Eggman wanted to make both Spectrum and Nine suffer in pain and pure agony, so that could lure Sonic and Tails in order to crumble their spirits and later on his friends!
Later, on the next day at the morning at the beach, on a sturdy workshop that Nine built with all sort of materials including by scavenging machine parts from garbage:
Nine: *smirking* Wait until you Tails, see what I'm going to invent next! *groans* If you think that YOU are the most inteligent and resourceful fox, you're gravely mistaken! - snarled Nine with some gibberish at the same time, by competitive against Tails' resourcefulness.
Eggman: THERE YOU'RE, YOU SNIVELY LITTLE MUT!!! - aggravated Eggman, inside of a mech similar to the Egg Crasher but with scored upgrade and arsenal!
Nine: I'm a fox.... EGGMAN!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, YOU GIANT EGG OAF?!? - said Nine, with both anger and horror for some reason!
Eggman: LOOKING FOR YOU, NINE-TAILED FREAK! - exclamated Eggman, with a sinister smile.
He grabbed Nine by his tails (completly cringe in a way), with the giant left hand of his mech suit, destroying his worshop and ready for the torture!
Eggman: First... a little torture and persuasion. By your REAL tails!- cackled Eggman evily.
Nine: Oh no, you won't! *groans* GGAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! - cries Nine with pain and agony. The same one which it led to be a vengeful outcast, because of being a two-tailed fox on New Yoke City.
Eggman: If you're from... another Shatterspace like the others just said, please answer me this honestly: WHERE'S THE PARADOX PRISM? - Eggman continues with the oppression.
Nine: GGUUUUAAAAAHHHH!!! I DON'T KNOW I SWEAR!!! AND EVEN IF KNEW, I WOULDN'T TELL YOU!!! *crying with pain*- cried Nine with panic, fear and despair. Afraid... afraid of losing his tails ... and EVERYTHING BY DYING!
Sonic, Shadow and Tails (especially him), were angrily staring at the horrifying scenario full of an iminent death, ready to pummel Eggman endlessly!
Eggman: Then I going to use you as bait to lure...
But everything was interrupted when a sudden indigo and red thunderstorm crackled and rumbled from the sky high, just like night itself appeared before the sunset, but after that the lightnings started to being rainbow-coloured ones! Tails, scared because of his astraphobia, was cowering in a bush nearby. Sonic and Shadow, along with everyone else on their whereabouts, were wondering why the black clouds of that furious thunderstorm was... on the exact spot where Eggman and Nine were!
