Lia's New Friend

The next morning Lia woke up in a comfortable bed with soft sheets, Narcissa walking in. "Morning sweety." She greeted, a soft smile gracing her features. Lia gave a soft greeting as she sat up. "Today we're going to Gringotts. We'll be getting you an inheritance test and if you want to, we want to adopt you." Narcissa said hiding her nerves quite well.

Lia sat in silence, stunned. "What?" Lia asked breathless.

"I mean if you don't want to you don't have too." Narcissa rushed nervously.

"You want to adopt me?" Lia asked as tears brimmed in her eyes. "You want me?" Lia breathed out as memories came up from when Vernon had gone of on her.

"You worthless little brat. You think we want you? Nobody wants you. You're just our problem because we're related."

"None of that is true, Lia." Lilly said as everyone nodded in agreement.

"Honey, of course we do." Narcissa said as she pulled Lia into a hug.

After calming down Lia got ready before they headed to Diagonally. Pairing an old long sleeved, balck shirt of Dudley's with leggings she had bought before going to Hogwart. Tying her shoe laces she made her way downstairs to see the family of three, soon to be four, gathered around in the livingroom.

"Morning." Lia greeted quietly as she walked in. Everyone greeted her as Dobby the house elf popped up.

"Morning, Miss Potter. Can Dobby get anything for miss to eat?" Dobby rambled.

"Uhm, I'm okay, thank you, Dobby." Lia replied.

Lia and the Malfoy's gathered at the manor's gate before apperating to Diagonally. They appeared in a small alley close to Madam Malkins.

"Lia are you sure you don't want anything to eat before we go?" Lucius asked looking down at Lia.

"Yes, I'm good... Sir." Lia hesitated

Lucius and Narcissa led the way, while Draco and Lia follow.  Walking in with their heads held high, except for Lia, who was trying to cover her face as much as possible. Coming to a stop in front of a tellar, the goblin looked up from a ruby.

"We're here to get an inheritance test for Ms. Lilliana Potter."

The goblin looked down at Lia before getting up from his chair. "Follow me, Ms. Potter."

The group only managed to take a few steps before the goblin turned around. "Ms. Potter, only one person can join."

Narcissa and Lucius looked at each other before Narcissa spoke up. "Lucius will go. Draco and I will go ahead and start on the school supplies. We'll start with the robes. I know Lia's size."

"Very well." Lucius nodded, following the goblin down the hall along with Lia.

They stopped in front of a big oak door, the name Bonrag beautifully engraved in to the wood. The goblin, Bonrag, opened the door letting Lucius and Lia in. The two took a seat in front of the oak desk.

"The inheritance well cost you." Bonrag said as he grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill out of his drawer.

"We are aware of the expenses. I would like for Ms. Potter to get a fully detailed test." Lucius said. Bonrag nodded before holding out his left hand for Lia. Lia's brows furrowed but laid her hand in his. Bonrag turned her hand, palm up before pricking her finger with the quill.

"You didn't have to do that, the Potter family is well off." James said looking at Lucius who was looking at him with a raised eyebrow, it was his future self, he doesn't  know what's going through his head.

Letting go of her hand Bonrag tapped the pen three times on the parchement. He let go of the quill which was standing on it's own, the quill started writing, Lia's blood being the ink. It took a few minutes before it dropped down.

"There you go Ms. Potter." Bonrag handed the parchment over towards Lia who carefully took it and started reading.
