Susan got bored at her birthday party and headed for the library. She let her slender fingers roam freely on the bookshelf until she touched a hard, unattractive folder.
It fell and she picked it up and headed for her room to hide it before returning to the party. The party ended and Susan skipped off to her room.
She locked the door and took out the folder then she sat on her bed looking through it but what she saw broke her heart. She first saw the picture of her late mother.
Diana Roseland.
'Murdered at age 29 during a bloody event. Mother of 1. Married.'
The memories came back, rushing like waves; she exploded into tears. She continued reading.
'Got sold to His Lordship Damian Albert Von Keiet to clear off family debt. Got murdered before being exchanged for ten kilograms of cocaine as an agreement between His Lordship Damian Albert Von Keiet and Mr. Zane Gilbert.
Susan turned the page over. She saw the face of a weird looking man. She started reading his folder.
Mr. Zane Gilbert.
' An associate of His Lordship Damian Albert Von Keiet in business. A drug lord. Involved in human trafficking. Murdered at age 52 by His Lordship Damian Albert Von Keiet. Survived by his only son. Murdered his wife during a misunderstanding.'
She scrolled over once more.
Evans Gilbert.
Surviving offspring of Mr. Zane Gilbert. 25 years old. Partly involved in Zane Gilbert.
And finally, she got to the last page and saw her picture. She gulped in the cold uncomfortable air as her eyes scanned it.
Susan Albert Von Keiet.
Legally recognized daughter of His Lordship Damian Albert Von Keiet and Diana Roseland. Worth 20 kilos of cocaine. Lost womb during a fall.
Susan got quite upset.
Legally recognized daughter.
What the hell does he take her for?
She stood up straight and tall and headed for the door. She was going to confront him.
