Sitting on one of the lunch tables in the cafeteria, Yuu waited for Grim and the two other students who he had long since forgotten the names of. He crossed his arms on the table and rested his head on top. Last night he didn't get much sleep, his situation was simply so strange, so unexplainable that he stayed up trying to make sense of it. After reaching no sensible conclusion Yuu just focused on trying to accept the fact that he was in another world or some kind of pocket dimension. The longer he refused to believe he was somewhere other than his "home" the more trouble it would end up causing him mentally.
Yuu took a breath, the air was hot and stuffy from in between his folded arms. Did any of this really matter anyway? He had no intention of living whether it was in his world, or another so why was he still alive? Though he did not know why he wanted to die, he knew that he didn't want to live. He could kill himself right now it's not like anyone would be able to stop him, so why, why wasn't he. What was keeping him alive?
BANG.
The silent room instantly erupted into what can only be described as "a loud chaos" in which Yuu raised his head to observe. Grim shot through the cafeteria doors which opened and slammed backwards against walls. After him the two others sprinted into the room cursing at the feline.
"Argh! Stop jumping around like that!" a rather angry ginger yelled pointing a shaky finger at Grim.
Yuu slowly got up from the table, he had no intention of ending up in the middle of the chase. He moved over to the side of the room sticking close to the wall watching as Grim flew about the room dodging attacks from the two others. While sighing he closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead. When he opened his eyes again the ginger was yelling and flailing around his body levitating in the air.
The other male was pointing his wand at the ginger telling him to grab grim. Yuu furrowed his eyebrows looking around the room for Grim when he could not find him, he followed the gaze of the two students. Grim was hovering between the lights in the chandelier.
'Oh. Oh no.'
Before Yuu could say anything, the ginger screamed and was flung straight towards the chandelier like a ragdoll. Instead of catching Grim he slammed into the feline and then the chandelier. Grim who was caught by surprise got knocked out of the air and fell to the floor. The ginger also fell and crashed into a table farther away cursing and groaning.
Grim groaned, shaking his head and slowly standing back up on his four little legs. The feline's fur stood on edge when he heard a loud series of cracking noises. The blue haired boy yelled something but Grim didn't process it as he looked up. The roof above was cracking and crumbling around the base of the chandelier. It only took a second before the giant light fixture was in free fall and the poor feline was directly under it.
Grim's heart thumped, the chandelier fell so fast, he couldn't move, was this really the end. But. But he wanted to be great, he wanted to be someone important. Was it all just a stupid dream...
CRASH
The chandelier shattered against the ground, the tile floor breaking around the impact. Grim's little furry body was shaking. He wasn't dead. He felt arms wrapped around him and he was pulled close to someone's chest. The cat blinked and looked up; he saw two dreary eyes staring down at him.
Seeing the feline in danger caused Yuu's body to move on its own. Yuu didn't even think about it; he just ran straight under the descending chandelier towards Grim. He pushed off of the balls of his feet and dove grabbing the cat and wrapping his arms around him. His body slid and tumbled across the floor, his arms which were coiled around Grim like a shield harshly collided with the floor.
