CHAPTER 2 - POTIONS

Evelyn's pov

I suddenly wake up by a loud knock on my door followed by Pansy barging into my dorm. "Morning to you to Pans." I say as I struggle to open my eyes.

"Eve you litterly missed the gathering!" She tells me and I quickly get up.
"What no, did anyone notice? What did I miss?" I ask and I quickly head to my bathroom.

I was really comfortable with Pansy and also in a very big rush, I didn't really care about her seeing me naked.

"Ofcourse people notice when you're gone! Don't you ever notice the world revolves around you?" She sighs as she sits on a sofa while I hop on the shower.

To be honest that wasn't the nicest thing she said to me, where did this come from?

She answers my silence with "We have a new student in our year joining."
I look around the corner and give her the 'omg' look as I say "Huh? That never happened before I'm sure of that."

"Yeah well you know his name? Mattheo fucking Riddle." She says pronouncing the Riddle really carefully.

I drop my fucking shampoo on the floor of my shower.
"What?! You must be kidding, no way they're letting Voldemorts child in here. Hogwarts was supposed to be safe!" I tell her and she quickly hushes me.
"Eve are you crazy! Don't fucking say his name!" She tells me.

"What is he going to do, apparate to my dorm and kill me?" I ask her and I laugh.
"Not sure about him but his son might." She answers.

"What was he hot? Like the crazy hot serial killer sort?" I ask her, I realize maybe I am crazy.

She doesn't respond, "Omg Pansy no are you serious?" I ask her slightly worried and amused.
"He was so fucking hot, breathtaking, exactly my type." She starts blushing.

"You should invite hun to the party tonight then." I offer.
"I'm not sure he'd go with me, every girl was drooling all over him." She sights.

"Don't underestimate yourself Pans, you're seriously one of the prettiest girl in Hogwarts. And I'm not saying that because I'm you friend, I mean it." I assure her with a smile while I rinse my hair.

She lays down and stares up the ceiling. "I'm not over Draco yet. Mattheo might be hotter than him though."

"Not that hard to be hotter than Draco believe me." I scoff and she looks offended.

"Just kidding Pans, he is al yours." I say and I wink at her while I put my hair in a towel.
" I don't think he is." She says looking down, I didn't expect to see her sad about a man like Draco.

"He just doesn't like me Evelyn, not how he likes you." She adds.
"Wait what are you saying?" I ask her and I slightly raise my eyebrows in confusion.

"He will never look at me the way he looks at you." She tells me and she walks to the mirror next to me while I get dressed in my school robes.

"Are you sure? I don't think he likes me like that?" I question her, but to be honest I think she might have a point.

"Let's be real Evelyn every damn boy in this fucking school likes you like that, you're perfect." She says and I get quiet.

"Pans wait don't say tha-" I start but she cuts me off, "I'm going to be late for potions Evelyn I have to go, you better hurry. I'll see you." She walks away not looking back.

I don't know what has made her act like this, I can't figure.
We had the best friendship but ever since this year something changed.

I shake my head trying to leave those thoughts. Pansy was right about one thing, I need to hurry.
I can't miss a great hall gathering and the first lessons because of oversleeping!
