Baby Sister (BSD fanfiction)

Chapter 1

Tecchou held the phone to his ear with a blank look on his face. The call had long ended but he stood in place frozen.

There was an incident.

There was an emergency closing.

It was closed.

The daycare was closed.

The daycare was closed.

Oh fuck. What was he going to do?

It was way too early and late to start calling people to find a babysitter for the day and he had to leave to work soon or he'd be late. He was lucky enough to even find a daycare that opens early enough for him to drop off his sister but it was way to early to call people and way too short notice. What was he going to do?

His office wasn't that dangerous was it? I mean as long as he didn't take her on a mission and had someone constantly watching her she'd be fine, right? Right?

It was only one day what could possibly happen?

So with that the Tecchou started to pack a bag of things a baby would need. Diapers, wipes, baby food that may or may not have been tainted by Tecchou, toys, a pacifier, etc etc.

Then there was the hard part. Waking up the demon— I mean baby. Tecchou rolled up his sleeves with a determined look on his face as he stared down at his baby sister. It would have been more terrifying if not for the pink backpack on his shoulders and teddy bear in his hand.

He slowly, quietly, lifted up the baby off of the crib, quickly placing her into the warmth of his chest before she could realize the shift and wake up crying. She stayed asleep. Good. Tecchou carefully tucked her into the baby carrier thingy that was on his chest as he then wrapped his cape fully around his body to hide her. So far so good.

And with that he left his apartment.

"What are you hiding in your cape?" Was the first thing Tecchou heard as he walked through the door. He looked blankly at his white haired colleague.

"What are you talking about?" He tried to play dumb.

"Tecchou there is a smaller second heartbeat coming from under your cape. What is it and why is it here?"  Jouno said crossing his arms annoyed. Damn he forgot about that.

".....I could't find a babysitter."

"..." Jouno was quiet for a few seconds. "...what?"

"This is Mei. My little sister. The daycare was closed and I couldn't find a babysitter." Tecchou explained slowly, hoping his sadist of a coworker won't start yelling and wake up Mei.

Jouno's face darkened. "So you brought her to work? What's wrong with you!" Jouno hissed quietly, he did not want to deal with a crying baby this early in the morning... or at all...

"It's only for the day, I had no other choice." The two men started bickering with each other until Jouno made the mistake and accidentally cursing.

"Why the fuck—" he was cut off by a gasp from Tecchou as he quickly moved his cape to the side and gently clapped his hands over the babies ears. He glared coldly at Jouno. Jouno may be blind but he could feel the menace behind it.

"No cursing in front of the baby!"

"Fine let's just ask the captain! I'm sure he'll agree that our HQ is no place for a baby!" Jouno said storming off toward the meeting room. Little did he know Fukuchi was craving chaos and drama that day.

Fukuchi and Teruko were already in the meeting room when the two walked in. After all they had a meeting scheduled for that morning.

"Captain." Jouno greeted his boss before he continued. "Tecchou has decided that instead of puting a little more effort into finding a babysitter that it was best to bring his baby to work. This is no place for a baby." Fukuchi nodded along to Jouno's words. Jouno thinking he was agreeing and was about to reprimand Tecchou was fairly mistaken and taken aback with what he said instead.

"Tecchou you didn't tell us your a dad!" Fukuchi grinned. "When was the birth? They look so young, must be recently, I don't remember you taking any time off though?" Fukuchi started thinking aloud, tugging on his mustache.

"I'm not."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Tecchou.... please tell me you didn't kidnap that child." Fukuchi said slowly.

"I didn't. She's my sister, my parents recently died so I took her in."

".... Sorry for your loss?"

"Bruh."

"..."

"What?"

The room then suddenly went quiet as a little hand reached out from under Tecchou's cape and a little sniffle was heard. A soft smile crossed the man's face as reached his hand toward the little baby and let her clasp onto his finger.

"Mornin Mei Mei." He cooed slightly at the baby completely forgetting about other hunting dogs in the room. Fukuchi and Teruko stood up and walked over to look at the baby. Her hair was darker than Tecchou's and her eyes were a soft green color.

The little baby sucked in a breath when the two large new faces appeared out of no where. They all prepared for her to start crying until her eyes drifted over to Teruko. The baby made grabby hands to the red haired child-looking woman.

"Wanna hold her?" Teruko had no time to answer before Tecchou pulled the baby out of the carrier and held her out carefully to the girl. The baby was a wearing a cute brown onesie that was supposed to resemble a bear.

"Wait what?! I-" Teruko protested but it was too late she was already holding the baby. Mei held out her hands and touched her hair. She then giggled. She as in both girls. The three men looked at Teruko shocked at her friendliness toward the baby.

"You're so cute." Teruko cooed. Tecchou smiled at the sight until he heard her next words. "I'm going to teach you to strangle someone." Teruko smiled and rushed out of the room, abandoning the meeting.

"Wait what?!"

"DON'T WORRY WE'LL START OFF WITH STUFFED ANIMALS THEN RATS!!! HER HANDS ARE WAY TOO SMALL FOR A HUMAN NECK RIGHT NOW!!!" Teruko laughed running away.

"What? NO!!!" Tecchou ran after the red head.

"..."

"What the fuck."

Disclaimer I don't own the anime or series.

This takes place before the events of the anime, for plot reasons she'll be about 15 when the anime starts. Tachihara hasn't joined the hunting dogs yet at this point. He is also to be around 4 years older. I know ages and backstories may not match up exactly but let's pretend.
