Chapter 7

Tecchou walked into Mei's to wake her up for the day. He walked over to the bed and started to lightly shake her. She stayed curled up into a ball though. This was odd she'd usually wake up quickly. Tecchou shook her again but nothing so he turned her over. Her nose was red and her forehead was sweaty.

Mei slowly opened her emerald eyes to look at her brother and they looked so tired and in pain. She groaned slightly when he put his hand on her forehead, she was really warm. She then went into a coughing fit. Tecchou quickly picked her up and held her while patting her back.

Shit. What was he goi g to do—?

Suddenly they heard a door slam open and heavy footsteps coming towards the room. Tecchou grabbed his sword out and got ready, thinking it's an intruder. Then the door was kicked down and the intruder walked in.

It was just Jouno.

"I heard Mei Mei coughing!" He exclaimed running over to the sick child.

"Don't you live on the other side of Yoko—"

"Irrelevant and I called the others their on their way." That's when he heard two more sets of footsteps and in ran Teruko and Fukuchi.

"MY BABY!!!" Teruko screamed rushing over and grabbing Mei. "Aw look at her. My poor baby!" Teruko started cradling the four year old. Mei was still curled up in a ball, unaffected by their presence. "We have to get her to a hospital!"

"Teruko, it's probably just a cold. I'll give her some medicine and wait it out." The three other hunting dogs looked at Tecchou like he was crazy.

"Your going to let her suffer?"

"Some brother you are."

"She needs a doctor!"

Tecchou only sighed there was no use arguing with them.

"GET US A DOCTOR!!"

"Miss we put you on the waitlist, you have to wait your turn."

"I WILL MURDER YOU!!!" Teruko was yelling at the nurse while Jouno sat in a chair sharpening a knife. Tecchou was holding Mei as Fukuchi tried to get her to eat something.

"Miss your sister is probably just down with the cold, there are more severe cases here. You need to wait your turn." Suddenly the entire room went cold as the Teruko's face went blank. Tecchou slowly passed Mei off to Fukuchi as he stood and walked towards the two. Within the split second Teruko had jumped and tackled the nurse and Tecchou pried her off. He now held her in air jail. Teruko kept swinging her arms and legs to try to get out but it was futile.

"I'm going to need you all to leave." A worker said as she helped her coworker with the broken nose after what Teruko did. After a bunch of arguing Fukuchi finally grabbed everyone and dragged them out of the hospital, leaving Jouno with Mei waiting their turn.

Jouno sat in a chair plugging his nose with Mei sniffling in his lap. "Sai-nii..."

"Hm what wrong sweets?" He said although his voice was kinda weird cause of his plugged nose.

"My head hurts..."

"I know, it's ok, it's almost our turn ok?" Jouno tried comforting the child. She whimpered again but didn't say anything. And soon enough it was her turn. She had the flu. Oh he was going to kill Tecchou. It was probably his food combinations.

"Damn you and your food combinations Tecchou..."

"... sir this is the flu not food poisoning."

"Shut up." Jouno promptly walked out, not caring to check back with the front desk about medication. He'll just have Teruko go the pharmacy and yell at them until they handed over flu medication for kids.

He walked back to the HQ and found everyone sitting around the meeting table. Not that he could see though...

"It's the flu." Queue Teruko being a drama queen. Fukuchi also very discretely texted the Decay of Angels group chat about the news then turned off notifications and let the chaos unfold. Nikolai's probably being a drama queen too... he and Teruko would get along in the 'teaching illegal stuff to a four year old' department.

The speed Teruko took on when she ran out of the building to get the medicine was hilarious and Jouno would laugh if it weren't a dire situation. The fire situation being the flu....a very early stage of it....a curable stage of it....a very not life threatening stage of it. Do they care? No. Will they keep panicking? Yes, yes they will.

This lasted several days. Panicking, worrying, spoiling, making sure Tecchou isn't make food, etc etc. What might you ask happened when she recovered? Well Jouno convinced everyone that it was Tecchou's food combinations that caused the flu so let's just say that he lost Mei Mei privileges for a while. How? You don't wanna know.

Sorry for the late update, unfortunately I'm one of the rare teens these days that have a life. I had been writing this one in pieces for a while and had just had the time to finish it up. I totally didn't just come back from a hangout. It's totally not midnight. I'm totally not eating a cookie a stole and brought home. I totally didn't cheat at laser tag but my reviving myself.... I totally wasn't caught.

Also I love being in high school. Not cause of the work but cause of the new privileges I get with my parents. Hear me out.

Middle school: limited time with friends.

High school: as long as they aren't corrupting me (cursing, dirty mind, etc although I already had that not that they have to know)

Middle school: I had a curfew

High school: as long as I come home before midnight

Middle school: I leave when I'm picked up, if I complain I'm grounded

High school: if I have a ride home they don't care

You see now? High schooler privileges.
