V. Decision

A month later...

"Mix, I have a news. I don't know it would be a good or a bad one for you." Mix's Dad said in the middle of their breakfast.

Mix was perplexed by what his Dad just said. "What is it, Dad?"

"I got a promotion at my job." Mix's Dad said.

"Well, isn't that a great news? Congrats, Dad!" Mix cheered happily. "So, what do you mean that it'd be a bad news for me?" Mix asked.

Mix's Dad looked at the middle-age woman and looked back at Mix. And Mix could only looked at them in confusion.

Mix's Dad sighed, "Well, since my job needs to be moved to Japan, I want you and your Mom to come with me. Of course after you finished your first year, since you just entered high school. And, you'll continue your second year in Japan."

Mix doesn't know how to react about that. He tried to digest everything his dad just said. 'Move to Japan? That's far. And away from P'Earth? I don't know if I could do that. But, I also don't know if I could stand staying here with my feelings towards P'Earth. Is this the time for me to finally learn to move on?'

Mix snapped out from his deep thoughts after his Dad tried to call him many times, "yes, Dad? Sorry."

"Just think about this later, Son. It's okay, I won't force you. We'll find a way if you wanted to stay here. And if you decided to come with me, I'll assign you to join Japanese course for you." Mix's Dad said.

Mix nodded, "okay, Dad."

When they just finished their breakfast, they heard a familiar voice calling Mix's name from outside.

"It must be P'Earth. Then, I'm going now. Bye, Mom, Dad." Mix bid his goodbye.

"Phi, do you have plan after school?" It became Mix's habit to ask Earth first whenever he wanted to plan something with the older guy.

"I guess... not." Earth said while putting his fore finger on his chin as if he tried to remember something.

"Okay, let's watch a movie after school. There's this new movie just came out today. And it's from my favorite series." Mix said with a bright face.

"Okay, my beloved Nong~." Earth said as he ruffled Mix's hair.

After school...

Mix walked happily to Earth's class while humming a melody. When he already in front of Earth's class and saw the older guy, he was just about to call the older guy, but stop when he saw the older guy was smiling at his phone. 'I bet it's P'Jan.' Mix thought.

"Stop that smile before everyone think you're crazy." Earth turned to the familiar voice and found Mix already on his side.

Earth smiled sheepishly, "oh anyway, Jan asked me to go to watch movie today, and since the movie she wanted to watch is the same as you, so, I told her maybe we can go together?"

'Oh, here we again.' Mix thought. Yup, this isn't something that happened once or twice. Sometimes Mix didn't go with them, but sometimes he did. Just because he didn't want his bestfriend to think that he's still feel uncomfortable around the couple.

"Oh, okay. You just go ahead, then. Earlier I wanted to tell you that I have some errands to do first." A lie that Mix doesn't know how many times he has told.

"Oh? Okay, then. Meet us at the cinema, okay. I'll buy you the ticket first." Earth said.

"Roger, that." Mix said with a smile.
