3rd person POV:
Sun eventually came back to the dorms. He opened the door, his eyes squinting. It was a very dark so it took him a second to get used to it.
He decided to get some fresh air out on the balcony. As he opened the slide out door, he noticed Eclipse smoking a cigarette.
Sun glanced at the other before speaking up, "Out for some fresh air too?"
Eclipse jolted up, surprise from the sudden voice. His eyes flickered to Sun, his body calming down. "...Yeah, you?"
Sun nodded, going to stand beside Eclipse. The two shared awkward silence for a few brief moments before Sun spoke up.
"You alright? You look like you got alot on your mind.."
Eclipse looked at Sun and back out in the distance. "Yeah...I do...I mean, I just brought my brother back to pit dorms sooo..."
The other nodded before realizing what he said. His eyes widened as he turn his stare to Eclipse.
"Wait you...what..? Since when was...which one of them is here..?
"Lunar, he's sleeping in the room right now...."
"But why are they here?" Sun tilted his head slightly. Eclipse froze, not sure how to explain that your abusive dad who's been hurting you and your siblings most of their life and had to save your lil brother because he was mad that you left.
"Um, they just..wanted a break from home." Eclipse responded, hoping that'd convince him.
Sun looked at him suspiciously, but shrugged. "Alrightly..."
The two stood in silence for a bit, staring at the starry sky.
"...do you ever....nevermind...."
Sun shook his head, sighing. "What?" Eclipse tilted his head, waiting for him to continue.
"....do you ever think that nobody will love you..?"
Eclipse's eyes went wide at the sudden question. Did...did Sun think about that often...?
"...sometimes...
Eclipse softly replied which caught Sun's attention.
".....um....I've been meaning to ask you this but um....why....why did you bully me all those years...?"
The other blinked, not really sure how to answer the question. I mean, should he just....tell him?
"I....um....it's a really long story...."
Eclipse said, hoping that'll get Sun off of his back.
"Tell me...we got all night..."
Sun smiled softly at him, looking at him patiently.
And it spilled out. He started to tell the yellow one about his trauma, how he was jealous of him and alot of other people. How his father was abusive, his mom passed away, all of it.
Sun just listened, to everything.
After a few minutes after Eclipse finished speaking, Sun started to speak.
"I...I get it....not completely but...I get it. My father wasn't really the best either. It was really difficult without my mom, but, I got through it.."
He remarked, placing his hand on Eclipse's. It caused Eclipse to blush, looking up at him.
"Dads just...they aren't always the best, but, you gotta get through it. I did, and you sure as hell did."
Sun gleamed, smiling softly at him.
"You literally protected your siblings from him. I would call that getting through it."
Eclipse smiled back at him, making the two have eye contact.
The both of them stared into eachothers eyes for a bit, leaning in slightly.
"Sun...I think...I think I need to tell you something..."
Eclipse said hesitant, placing a hand on Sun's cheek. Sun placed his hand on top of the others'.
"I think I do too...."
The two leaned in, their lips almost touching. They then-
"What are you two doing?"
The duo immediately turned their heads around to see Lunar standing there, dumbfounded.
Eclipse pushed Sun away, crouching down to Lunar's level.
"Lunar! What are you doing out here??"
Eclipse stammered, looking really embarrassed.
"I'm hungry.." Lu pouted, crossing his arms. The orange one sighed, picking him up.
He turned his head to the other. "I'll talk to you later." Sun nodded in response, smiling.
Eclipse turned to leave, shutting the slid door shut. Sun just stood there, flabbergasted. He and Eclipse almost kissed...
ALMOST KISSED!?
He leaned against the railing, his face going red. Who knows what could've happened if Lunar didn't interrupted.I.
