Best friends

Dear Diary,
You know the boy who sat behind me well his name is Luke and over the last couple of weeks we have become very good friends.

Though I do fear about his curiosity and why that ribbon is upon my neck. As I do not even know myself the true meaning of wearing a little green ribbon on my neck.

At school many of the girls like this and have put it up as 'latest fashion' and if that's the reason my mother has asked me to keep the ribbon then it may not be necessary.

People are wearing red, green, blue and purple ribbons bit Bon of them have thought of wearing a pink one. that is very strange.

I have continued to pester my mother into telling me about the ribbon but all she is saying is keep the ribbon on and she will tell me when I am 15.

I would love to change the colour of this ribbon but I'm not allowed so my mother said to wear more than one so I have.

I wear the green one a purple and a blue one even the boys are starting to wear ribbons around their own wrists.

And so far school has gone okay.
