Nothing eventful happened at Hotel Oj, Fan wanted something to happen however. He needed a good report for Lightbulb. He didn't want to risk it
He wanted to tell Test Tube and Paintbrush what happened but he knew if he did, something bad will happen. He needed to find a way to talk to them without being caught. But for now, all he has to do it give information to Lightbulb.
Night had come once again it was time for Fan to report to Lightbulb
He once again snuck out of the hotel and when back to the hole
Paintbrush watched from out the window. They exit their room, to quietly follow Fan.
Paintbrush followed Fan until they saw him go back down to the hole, they were confused. They didn't want to confront him straight up without enforcements. They need to tell Test Tube.
Fan made his way to the throne hall. Taking a huge sigh, before walking in.
Queen Lightbulb: Perfect, you weren't caught on the first day. Now tell me what happened
Fan: Nothing eventful happened today. Mostly a lot of sitting
Queen Lightbulb: I guess that's fine. Some will happen soon enough. Also you're forgetting a certain position you need to be in.
Fan thought for a moment before remembering he had to bow. He quickly did so.
Lightbulb puts her hand to her face
Queen Lightbulb: You clearly need training. But that'll wait.
Queen Lightbulb: I need you to convince someone from the hotel to come back. It doesn't matter how many, just bring the ones with a small IQ. I feel like I can manipulate them into working for me.
Fan: Ok My "Queen"
Queen Lightbulb: Perfect now off you go!
Paintbrush wakes up Test Tube, which was easy due to her being a light sleeper
Test Tube: What is it Paintbrush. It's like 2:30am
Paintbrush: It's about Fan. I saw him sneak out again, so I followed him, and saw him go back in the hole.
Test Tube: Really? Why would he do that
Paintbrush: I don't know, but I think we should keep an eye on him for now. Until we can properly confront him
Test Tube: Yea, that's a good idea. Now can you please leave my room, I need to sleep.
Paintbrush leaves Test Tubes room before seeing Fan come back into the Hotel.
Paintbrush: Where have you've been?
Paintbrush knew but they wanted to see if he would lie, that's how they'll know if someone is wrong.
Fan: Oh I was just... walking. Yup walking, so I can clear my head!
Paintbrush looks at Fan
Paintbrush: This is the second night you've been out. If something wron-
Fan immediately left. Paintbrush thought the situation was probably worst then they expected.
Lightbulb looks for Prototype. It's been awhile since she'd seen them. She walks into a room to see Prototype sleeping in his room. He'd been resting for awhile. The stress of the trio really got to him.
Lightbulb grabs a gift and places it near the door. Closing the door
Though you'd never hear her emitted it, she actually cared for Prototype. He was the only Mephone who cared enough to see her for who she was instead of seeing her as just a Queen, and she liked them for that.
She'd never show it in public however. It'll show weakest in her eyes.
She was never going to show weakest. She brought a kingdom to life, who would she be if she wasn't seen as a strong Queen?
She had to be cruel, she had to be heartless, because it's how she needed to be seen. And then over time it just grew onto her, until it wasn't an act anymore, until it became who she was
Lightbulb: Maybe I should be a little bit nicer to Fan.
Lightbulb thought, she cares about him still deep down. She cares about Testy and Painty too. She loved them.
The hug she gave them was genuine. Before she brought up mephone 1, everything she said and did was genuine.
So why does she still pretend not the care?
Queen Lightbulb: If I show kindness to Fan, he could see it as weakest. I just can't risk that.
Lightbulb entered her room and laid on her bed.
A part of her wished she didn't accept the role as queen, that if she just when with her first plan, none of this would've happened.
But she got was she wanted, including the consequences.
Queen Lightbulb: I've come to far to stop, I just hope Fan is the one who help me see it through.
Lightbulb then closes her eyes and drifts to sleep.
