NOTE: If you are reading this book. Please notice that Jazzlyn's name will be changed to "Josie". This is one of my new creative decisions in reshaping her character. Thank you.
Slowly regaining her consciousness, Josie is gently pulled back into the real world where everybody wakes up and starts hurting the next second.
Which she'd started feeling within her legs. With all this running, she knows she does not need this kind of pain right now.
She sat up, grunting tiredly. Now out of her costume, she was instead now wearing pajamas with bat-symbol decorations. On a bed, in a room somewhere in the batcave. She could see the dark interiors and feel the cold atmosphere, that's how she knew.
Woke up like a child not ready for school just yet. Alfred approached her.
"You must've drained all your energy, running out there." He said, bringing her a glass of water.
"Alfred? What happened to me?" She asked, taking the glass and thanking him.
"You fell unconscious while running in the ocean. Master Bruce and Master Stone picked up your vitals before you could drown. And Master Curry carried you off the waters." Alfred said. "You can thank them."
"Sounds about right." Josie said, stepping off the bed and taking a good look at her pajamas. Puzzled.
"Sorry about that. Those belonged to someone who once worked for Master Wayne." Alfred said.
She nodded. "Where's everyone? What's still going on? I need to go see, Alfred." She strolls out of the room, finding a staircase that'd lead down. Josie headed for the batcomputers. Trouble was, she was too hyperfixated and that meant she was nearly stumbling down.
"Miss Maghanay... I suggest you calm down." Alfred told her, following suit.
"Not when-" Josie came down and found Floyd, along with . . . Zoe. They were sitting near a batcomputer. They were still safe here.
Floyd and Zoe spotted her. The daughter of Deadshot gave a wave.
Josie would wave back. "Uh- hi." She said.
"D-don't mind this, please." She scoffed, looking down, about her current clothing.
"I'm Josie. Hey there." She told them.
Floyd nodded at her, blankly.
Luckily, he did not recognize Josie --- that she was the speedster who almost got him apprehended earlier.
Phew. What a relief!
"I'm Zoe! This is my Dad, Floyd. He's a really grumpy guy." Zoe said, chuckling.
"Nice to meet you, erm..." Josie walked towards the main batcomputer. She'd whisper to Alfred, "How do I break the news that I almost got her dad arrested? Also, what the heck? Deadshot has a daughter?" She said.
"You'll have to tell them sooner or later, I'm afraid." Alfred told her calmly.
Josie rummages through the batcomputer, trying to locate the rest of the other superheroes.
"Say, what did happen earlier?" She asked.
Earlier.
Back at the island. With all the wreckage they've caused, this needed to be settled. Adam and Billy's fight nearly paid too much harm to the animals around them.
Shazam was on the ground, looking up at Teth-Adam as he held his own neck. Strained.
The latter, was speaking with Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Aquaman.
