Completely unaware of your actions last night, you wake up and continue your day like any other day. However, you had a strong hangover, which made the day slightly different than usual.

You were aware of how fuzzy and blank your memory was, as you couldn't recall the events from last night. But your brain filled in the empty spots and so you assumed you just hung out with Punky for the night.

Throughout the day, you realize how boring the day was. And then it occurs to you that Punky didn't stop by at all that day. You were worried as to where he might be, but he was a superhero after all; he was bound to be busy saving lives and he wouldn't go down that easily.

By the fourth class of the day, you'd be hungry and quite thirsty, which was typically when Punky would drop by with some tea and a muffin. But since he was absent, you had to stop by a cafe on the way to your next class.

You wished he gave you his number, but he said it wouldn't work? This puzzled you but you didn't question it any further. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to you, Hobie is from another dimension, and therefore communication wouldn't necessarily work in cross dimensions.

That day, not only was Hobie still shy about the events the previous night, but there was also a recruit that he had been getting along well with Gwen Stacy.

No one got along with Hobie, definitely not Miguel who scolded him any chance he got. His mentor Jessica didn't even bother looking out for him. So when Gwen showed up the two bonded very nicely.

He didn't have feelings for her, but she was a good company with good common interests. Besides, he was assigned to show her the ropes which explained his absence. Although, the kiss would not stop repeating in his mind.

Hobie admits he's too shy ever to face you again, as you may not remember the kiss but he very well does. And he wouldn't know how to act when he sees you, should he play dumb or should he talk about it with you?

The intimacy the two of you shared sparked a topic deep in his mind that made him nervous. Would there ever be a future for the two of you? You were both from different dimensions. Who knows what the future holds?

In the meantime, Hobie just needed time to think things over. He'll most likely drop off a note and a gift when things clear up.

Back to you, it was rather lonely. Punky was the only company you ever really enjoyed. Where you could truly be yourself. You could laugh at jokes you genuinely found funny instead of only when you were expected to.

But you pushed on! You know you are a strong, independent woman, and so the days weren't so tough. Before you knew it, though, an entirely miserable week had passed.

You sigh, looking out your balcony at the sunset, wishing for your Punky to come and see you.

"Where is that little stinker . . ." You whisper to yourself, closing your eyes to feel the wind against your face.

A shadow appears over you which you notice through your closed eyes. Your brows pull together in confusion but just before you open your eyes you are greeted with a familiar voice.

"Miss me, Darling?" Punky smirks at you with his mask on.

You jump back with a gasp but you're immediately washed over with relief and joy. You grab him into a hug despite him hanging upside down and you become emotional.

"You punk!" You sniff, "Now where have you been all this time?"

He notices your tears and panics, sitting up straight on the balcony fence and embracing you into his chest.

"Oh, Luv, I've just been a bit busy, that's all." You've been around Punky so much for so long that his British slang was easily understandable and you were able to hear it as simple English now.

"You could have given me a heads up!" You scoff, wiping your tears and punching his chest.

He gently pushes you back and gazes into your eyes warmly, even if you can't see them due to his mask, "I know, I know, and I'm sorry."

You shake your head at him, opening your mouth to scold him but he cuts you off, "There's someone I'd like for you to meet!"

You twist your face in confusion until a beautiful woman hangs down from the edge of the roof. She was blonde with some pink dye at the ends and the side of her head shaven. Stunning blue eyes adorned her freckled face.

She kind of looked like you.

A pang of jealousy hits you but you put it aside, greeting her with a warm smile and extending your hand, "It's nice to meet you . . . ?"

"Gwen-Gwen Stacy," She awkwardly takes your hand. "And you?"

"I'm -" you start, but Punky cuts you off.

"-She doesn't have a name," Punky abruptly states.

You look at him in confusion, and he exchanges a certain look with Gwen who nods in understanding. Hobie didn't want either him or Gwen to know your name in case Miguel found something out.

He wasn't supposed to be seeing you so often, that one anomaly in your dimension was the only time he should have been there. If Miguel finds out that Hobie's been going out of his way to see a girl rather than defeating anomalies, it could turn out bad.

"Yes, I d-" You frown, but he waved you off.

"Just call her Odette." He smirks, tossing you a teasing glance.

You cross your arms, unamused, "Very funny."

An alarm pops up from both of their watches and a text in bold letters appears before them. You couldn't read it from upside down, but you could tell it was urgent.

"I'm sorry, Luv, but we've got to go," Punky frowns sadly at you.

You give him a reassuring smile, "It's alright. I'm just glad I was able to see you again."

He breaks out into a large smile through his mask, "Me too."

"We've got to go," Gwen stiffly shifts in her stance.

"Right," He says, typing into his watch.

Gwen turns to you with an awkward smile, "Um, it was nice meeting you . . . Odette?"

You shake your head with a laugh, going with the new name, "It was nice meeting you too, Gwen."

She swings off and you are left with Punky. You embrace him in one last hug, whispering, "Come back soon, okay?"

He places a chaste kiss on the crown of your head, "Will do." And he swings off.

You sigh and walk back inside, locking your balcony as you had a feeling he wasn't going to return for a little while.

Unbeknownst to you, he was going to sneak off and visit you again much later that night when all the lights were out.
