(Y/N), a college girl going about her day with her studies, had no idea that the balance of the universe was at risk.

Miles shakes his head and turns around to face Miguel once more, "-You can't ask me not to save my father."

Miguel lours down at him coldly, "I'm not asking."

He drops a trapping device next to Miles' feet, causing the room to burst in volume. Argues and chatter were heard everywhere.

"Don't!" Gwen cries, walking toward Miles who struggles against the barrier. "Stop it, Miguel!"

"I got this, just--give him a second, please." Peter puts his hand out to Miguel, who continues to ignore the ruckus in the room.

"You let him leave, he'll only do more damage," Miguel exclaims amongst the noise. "You both know that."

Peter continues to reason with Miguel, while Gwen begins to plead anything at this point. Hobie watches the room break into a panic, and he silently contemplates his next move.

The image of you appears in his thoughts, and Hobie knew what he had to fo. His voice calls out to Miles discreetly, and points to the palm of his hand, telling Miles what he needs to do to escape.

Just as Miles was letting out a cry of defiance, Hobie quickly opens a portal to leave the scene and meet you for the last time.

You were at your desk studying for the next exam, wondering where Punky has been for the last few days. Suddenly, the lights in your room flickered off, and it grew extremely windy. You begin to panic after the notebook you were using flew away.

You glance around your room in fear at this strange phenomenon, until a colorful ray of lights appear in the middle of your room. It stretched open with sci-fi looking glitches, and you leap to your feet to back away from it in fear.

Papers and books and school materials lying about were thrust around the room, so you hold your hands up to your face to shield yourself from the flying objects. Your hair swayed quickly behind you but you were more focused on the man in front of the portal.

Upon seeing Punky step through the portal without his mask, your fear immediately disappeared and relief filled your senses.

"Yo!" Hobie's smile was bittersweet.

You break out into a large smile, yelling at him over the loud ruckus of your room, "Punky?! What are you doing!?"

"I . . ." Hobie hesitated, "I came to say goodbye, Luv . . ."

The joy in your face disappeared, and your heart drops to your stomach.

"What do you mean 'goodbye'?" You cry out over the loud wind, your heart is beating rapidly with fear and confusion.

"I'm afraid it's time that I put myself out, Luv . . ." He says sadly, holding his mask tight in his hand as it fluttered loosely in the wind.

The bright lights of the portal illuminated the room and blinded you from seeing Punky's features and only his silhouette. The most you could make out was his pained expression.

You feel your heart drop to your stomach and tears well up in your eyes, "No, no! Don't go, please!"

Hobie sheds a tear before he turns toward the portal with his final words, "I'm sorry-"

"Wait!" You cry out, reaching your hand out to him.

.
.
.

"Tell me your name!"

He freezes and smiles sadly at you from over his shoulder, but this time you can see him much clearer.

"Hobart Brown." He says. "But I go by Hobie."

You break out into a mixture of a sob and a laugh, grinning at him, "I'm (Y/N). And . . . And I love you, Hobie!"

Hobie's heartbeat speeds up and he puts his hand out to meet yours and intertwines them, "Nice to meet you, (Y/N). I love you too, and I always will!"

You try to keep the sob from escaping your throat and instead give Hobie a warm smile. "Be safe, and come back soon . . . I'll be waiting."

Hobie had a look of pain, he doesn't know when he can see you again. Or if he ever can. "I will, Luv."

And with that he left and the portal disappeared out of thin air. You drop to the floor and wail.

.
.
.

Years pass, you graduate college and become a businesswoman in your father's footsteps.

You broke away from your father's influence and started a new life, new friends, new interests, new morals, new beliefs. You were no longer fake, you were yourself.

By that same pot of lavender that witnessed you departing by your one true love, you lean against the railing of the balcony in your new house, watching the moon.

A familiar ray of light appears before you, and it opens with the appearance of a familiar man outstretching his hand to you.

Your eyes widen at the sight, and your eyes begin to sting. It could have been from the harsh winds from the portal, or the tears daring to fall out, you didn't know. You were too stunned to speak or move.

Hobie smiles down at you, "Hello, Luv. Long time no see."

He glanced down at his hand stretched and back to you, "What do you say we get out of here? We have a lot to catch up on."

The end.
