Mario the Music box fan story

Beginning

Mario: oh no, you're not getting away with this!
Riba: Oi, idiot, I wasn't trying to kill you!
Mario: And why should I trust you after what you did!?
Riba: because I let you out of the room-! if I was trying to kill you would i have unlocked it?
Mario: ...Guess not. *Lowers the pipe*
Riba: anyways, now that you're not going to bash my head in, I'll let cha know that Alice was tricking me.
Mario: And what difference does that make?! You gave me a concussion!
Riba: Well, when did you get such a sharp tongue?
Mario: *sigh* sorry.
Riba: its fine, now let's get a move on.
*Riba and Mario walked along until they came across the bathroom*
Mario: *reads the mirror* 08660?

Mario: Wah-!
Riba: huh? nothing is here, Mario.
Mario: sorry... i thought i saw something.
Riba: Psh. let's get out of this room. it's giving me the creeps.
*They went down to the room with the note and chest in it, the one below the bathroom*
Mario: (oh, theres a note here!) "The code"?
Riba: maybe it what was on that mirror we saw. *he attempted to put in the code, but it didnt work* huh.. (why didnt that work?)
Mario: let me try...
Riba: I highly doubt you ca-
*click*
Mario: hah! *he pulled out a medalion.*
Riba: *he blinked, confused for a second before shrugging it off* Welp lets go see if that unlocks anything...
*They both walked until they came across the room with the sewer entrance*
Riba: Alright... it should go here...
Mario: Yeah- huh? what's this-? *He looked at something that was shiny and blue. Curiosity got the better of him and he touched it*
Riba: What's what- *he turned, seeing Mario having something a misty blue in his hands, pupils dilated as if he was in a trance* Mario?! Hello? are you there? *He shook Mario's shoulder, sort of concerned* Oi, idiot, snap out of it! *He shouted* Cmon!
Mario: *he suddenly snapped back to the real world, looking sort of shocked*
Riba: Are you okay?
Mario: Uh- yea-yeah. (That was weird!)
Riba: Good. now let's keep going. 
*They made it down to the sewer*
Riba: I think I know how to traverse this path. follow me, and don't get lost.
Mario: okie-dokie!
Riba: *he started to slowly walk, mostly because the water was dragging his feet, but also because he didn't want Mario to get lost, it'd be a shame if he died, especially since if they can break the curse he can finally leave.*
Mario: *despite Riba going slowly, he was having a little trouble keeping up* (ugh! why do I have to have such short legs?)
*They had completed the first part of the pathway, and Riba was waiting while Mario caught up*
Riba: try to keep up. *He said as soon as Mario made it near him*
Mario: I'm trying, okay?!
Riba: try harder, then.
Mario: ugh. (Riba is helpful but he's also kind of a b-)
Riba: *he spoke, interrupting Mario's thoughts* Lets keep going now.
*Mario and Riba made it all the way through and to the part of the sewer where there was a huge drop*
Riba: hm.
Mario: There's a ladder over there we can use. *He pointed to his left, where there was indeed a ladder
Riba: Thats a good idea. *He climbed down the ladder quickly*
Mario: *after he thought Riba had made it to the bottom, hearing his feet slosh against the water, he started to make his way down as well*
CCCRRREEEEK
Mario: (what was that?) 
Riba: (well that can't be good.)
CRACK
Mario: WAAAH! UUF- 
Riba: AAK- *Mario had landed on top of him* Ow! get off of me you clumsy idiot!
Mario: Sorry! *He climbed off of Riba* ouch...
Riba: You alright?
Mario: yeah-
Riba: Good. *He brushed himself off while getting up* lets go see what's down here then. and we better hope there's a way back up. (because your fat-self broke the ladder)
