Punishment

When I walked into the room where Alaric, Lizzie, Josie, and Hope were in. I didn't expect to hear Lizzie throw Josie under the bus. But it was a little funny.

"You'd still be in trouble." Alaric tells the blonde.

Hope speaks. "But nice job throwing your sister under the bus."

"Speaking of, the bus leaves in ten minutes, and I expect all three of you to be on it, working together today, harmoniously and without drama." Alaric says.

"I wasn't even at the game. Why am I being punished?" Hope asks.

"You know what you did. And if Y/N were here, he'd be in the same boat like you."

I decide I'm done listening and I speak up. "Y/N is here. I showed up when Lizzie outed her sister." I walk over to them. "Why am I being punished? I want you to say every reason."

"Let's start with, breaking a students nose. Secondly, keeping your 'problem' a secret." The older man says.

"Ohh, right my problem... did you tell your daughter that you stuck a needle in my neck, poison was in it." The daughters look at their dad in shock.

"It wasn't meant to kill you. I knew it would hurt and stop you for a bit. Y/N you need to understand that the spirit needs to be put down. This week I'll put it down myse-" I cut the headmaster off.

"I've had the Nogitsune for a while. I've kept it under control. The only time I've let it out were in big fights. For example the thing I just killed the other day."

"You ripped it in half!"

"And I saved Hope. That is a good mission for me. You know, protect Hope when her guards down. I'm good like that." I give Hope a little head pat, making her blush and push my hand away.

Alaric sighs. "Just... keep it under control. The poison was actually supposed to knock you out, so there's nothing anyone in this school could do against you if you lost control."

"Two things, I'm sure if everyone in the school fought me, there'd be a big chance of taking me down. Second, I'm sure Hope could take me." I give the tribrid a smile. "But, I'll do the punishment. It'll be a nice... 'bonding' experience."

"Thank you, Y/N. The bus to town will leave soon, everyone get a move on." Alaric tells the four.

As I'm leaving Hope calls to me. "Save me a seat."

I give her a nod and walk off.

During the bus ride, me and Hope are next to each other.

"Why'd you head pat me?" She breaks the silence.

"What?"

"Earlier, you gave me a head pat. Why?"

I shrug. "I wanted to. It seemed right to do." I grow a small smirk. "Did you like it?"

Hope blushes and elbows me. "No, shut up."

"You did. Wow. Hope Mikaelson, likes head pats." My voice is low so no one can hear.

She gives me a look. "Don't make fun of me."

"I'm just teasing. I'll keep it secret." I give her a wink. She rests her head on my shoulder for the rest of the bus ride.

"So, what did you do?" Lizzie asks.

"My dad never gets mad at you." Josie points out.

"You're the prodigal daughter. Must have been juicy."
