Student Council

The first thing I noticed when I woke up was Hope staring at me.

"You watch me when I sleep?" I ask groggily.

"I watch you most of the time." She replies with a smile. I kiss her gently. But I pull away because of a slight pain in the crook of my neck. "You okay?"

"Yeah, just a slight pain in my neck." Hope looks at my neck and she gasps slightly. "What?"

"It's a... bite."

"Yeah, what type of bite?"

"I gave it to you." She doesn't look at me.

"Hope, what's wrong?"

"I marked you." She says quickly.

"What?"

"When I bit you last night... I marked you as mine."

I laugh softly. "I'm okay with that."

She looks shocked. "Really?"

"Yeah, I'm glad you marked me." I kiss her forehead.

She gains a mischievous smirk. "So, you like being mine?" I go to say something, but she stops me. "You want to be my pet?"

I scoff. "Aren't you the dog here?"

She hits my shoulder playfully. "Werewolf."

"I hear wolf, and that's in the dog family."

"Shut up." She pouts.

"Aww, you pouting? Be a good girl and accept it." I give her a head pat.

She pushes my hand away. "Stop it." She says laughing.

"What you want scratches behind your ear?" I go to scratch but she stops me.

"I will hurt you." She says trying to look stern.

"Don't threaten me with a good time." I kiss her passionately.

But before we can go anymore, we hear an announcement about an early meeting. Yay. I groan and bury my head into Hope's chest.

She laughs softly. "You can do that tonight. We need to get dressed."

I groan more as she gets up and walks towards her closet. I watch her get dressed, and reluctantly I get dressed too.

"Given recent events, some students have expressed concern that I am not allowing you to have a say in the decisions that affect your future. And I agree. If you are expected to abide by this school's policies, it's only fair that you have a voice in how those rules are made. So, I am forming an honor council." Alaric explains.

I'm sitting next to Hope not paying too much attention, as I have my head leant back. I tune the rest of the meeting out.

Well, I tune back into the conversation when Alaric says something shocking. "And since we have one, there will also be our resident Seer on the council. Give him a round of applause." He says giving me a sly smile. Asshole.

Everyone claps, Hope gives me a smile. "I'm dating a member of the council." She teases.

Alaric says something about leaving but I'm busy plotting my revenge.

Hope uses magic to close Alaric's door.

"Am I under assault today?"

I speak out. "You're about to be."

Hope shushes me. "You get to interrogate a tree nymph, and I have to babysit Landon."
